What a fun & yummy video! Thanks for sharing these great ideas to help celebrate our faith. Oh but I got just so hungry!! I just love making Easter bread every year; it's just so yum with all the zests & dried fruit. Hmmm, I wonder if you can use Easter bread dough to make frybread. I appreciate you so ,so very much for being here for us !

Your recipes look delicious, especially that strawberry cake! I enjoy an Easter coconut cake made in the traditional lamb mold. I also like Hot Cross Buns with the cross mark made with a white vanilla-flavored glaze.

Our home would also celebrate the Feast of St. Nicholas by filling shoes left outside the children's door. Hadn't heard of the cookies before, but I'll have to look into that one! For the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we would enjoy a Mexican meal and read Tomie DePaola's book The Legend of the Poinsettia. Sometimes, if the budget could afford it, we'd buy a red poinsettia that day. For the Feast of St. Lucia, we'd make Lucia buns of some sort and the children would take turns being St. Lucia and waking up the household with coffee and Lucia buns, wearing a wreath of electric candles in their hair (from American Girl dolls). Each Sunday in Advent we enjoyed our collection of Christmas books and if I found a new one, that book was wrapped and opened on one of the Sundays in Advent. Love the month of December in a Catholic home as the season is enjoyable all month long - and lasts until Epiphany!

Do you ever add eyeballs to your St Lucy Buns? I use white chocolate chips.
@catholicmomanddaughter4 ай бұрын
We would love to see a picture of that! What do you use for the black for pupils?
@blueskies5614 ай бұрын
@@catholicmomanddaughter I never thought about the pupils, but they actually make eyeball candy decorations for Halloween. That would work.
