The cottage has some lovely features. My favourite is the window in the kitchen looking into the hall. It’s going to be beautiful. One step at a time!

I adore your cottage. Is it my imagination or does it have the most lovely warm vibes in each room! I think the cottage has really welcomed you. It's going to be an amazing home. I think you're supposed to make sure the flames are the right colour on an old gas cooker that hasn't been used for some time but I'm not an engineer so I wouldn't know what you look for. It's just a thought. P.s the antique bed frame would look perfect in the library just the right size!

Will you be keeping the dinning table it will clean up nicely. The chimneys will need sweeping it's probably why it's smoking.

@@leahmorris343 oh yes will keep the dining table - it’s very lovely and has 4 drawers - will need to put liners in the chimney also - probably take the smoking fireplace surround out soon as the skip has arrived on site :)

I'm interested why you removed the wood burning stove from the kitchen that would have been the heart of the kitchen
@RenovatingRockCottage11 күн бұрын
@@relocatetoEUROPE Good question!! it was actually stolen in a break in the night before we got the keys - they broke the doors and left the water from the back boiler stove running through the house. It was very disappointing as i had hoped to have used that stove to heat up the middle of the house
@relocatetoEUROPE11 күн бұрын
@@RenovatingRockCottage Oh my goodness so Sorry, surely the former owners insurance would cover that? How disappointing. Will you replace it?
@RenovatingRockCottage11 күн бұрын
Thank you, it was very upsetting. The previous owners were amazing, and reimbursed us for the door damage and the stove - very generous of them and we are extremely grateful - not sure if i’ll put another one in kitchen as i hope to put the cooker range there. If i thought that the reno was taking forever i might put a second hand one in temporarily to heat up the space
@relocatetoEUROPE11 күн бұрын
@RenovatingRockCottage that's Good to know I would definitely put an Aga (or Similar ) in there heats up the room and also wonderful for cooking
