They do this because of awareness of the beauty of the Amazon rainforest, so that people wordwide want to protect it. The indigenous people working with the project were very excited to show the beauty of the Amazon to the rest of the world...

True, in fact aid makes stuff worse because it gives rise to capital flight, bureaucracy and corruption. Plus, there will always be misallocation of resources with aid and the money may not always go into infrastructure. What google could possibly do is help these poor countries is create employment which will help countries leave the poverty cycle and develop, just like it helped countries like India and Malaysia.

Great idea. It will be good to create a more stream view of a route in Google street maps. What I mean is that instead of having to click on the arrow to move to the next viewpoint, it would be great to set up a route in the map and then move through in Google street maps, like if you were walking or driving the route
