lol tear it up Brother Greg has helped make your dreams come true and Your Chanel Kamp Kenan has Given me so many ideas even with my own pond I’ve built myself I only have Goldfish in it and some other fish but It was a fun build for myself and I so enjoy sitting by it and listening to my waterfall and watching the fish swim I still have some tweaks I have to do but all in all my pond works so thank U Kenan 👊🏽😉

Classic Tom with the camera so close to the people he´s filming they all feel uncomfortable. It´s hilarious and has been like this for as long as I can remember. Great natural environments for all your residents 😁👍 Unfortunately the climate where I live isn't particularly tortoise/turtle/Reptile friendly. But some species of tortoise do seem happy enough in some regions where they enjoy the pleasant climate and then naturally hibernate on their own. I'm in Ireland where your pond will never run dry due to the rainfall 😂

OK, hold on… I’ve been wanting to suggest this to you for a while now, but I can’t afford to be a subscriber because I’m disabled and on SSI I’ll be 65 this June. Anyway, any who’s… I want to suggest to you that you make a micro redwood grove on your property. There are three types of redwood trees. All three would be at some different degrees of difficulty to raise in Florida one I believe is almost impossible, and that is the redwoods that grow in the sierra area in Nevada. you could most likely grow a Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) but not a Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) redwoods have been PLANTED all over the world, in many types of climates that are very different from coastal Oregon and California. The Dawn Redwood is a hardy tree growing in such diverse climates as Maine, Alabama, and Florida. The dawn redwood tree is probably a must with a couple of the coastal redwoods to grow in a mini or micro redwood grove in Florida. One of your friends, one of your resources you have is the gentleman who gave you all those plants and even helped you plant them. He would be an awesome gentleman to talk to about the situation. If anybody could pull this off, it would be you The next challenging if not, the most challenging feature is having a low salinity brackish, pond or man-made brook going through the micro redwood grove. No, I don’t remember all that it took to make hours but I know that a lot of animals do not like it so you would have to really put that smart noggin of yours to work to think about animals for a brackish feature, but having it lean more to freshwater than salt. No redwoods coastal redwoods do not mind growing near salt water. They just can’t grow in saltwater. I’m sure you’re very familiar with what lives in brackish water because the Everglades has plenty of it things like oysters crustaceans those would simply do very well but any bigger animals vertebrates and above you’ll have to do your research or maybe I just have to do my research lol I used to go fishing a lot for smallmouth bass stripers in California are brackish water but that’s a fish. I would need lots of running water and can’t do that, well you could but it take tons of money to run it 😮 But could you imagine redwood grove even just a small one on your property with a brackish water system through it or even freshwater and then the ferns it would be so awesome and then you have your natural animals because you might want to put a fence around it, but I don’t think there’s any natural Brackish turtles, but there definitely has freshwater ones as you well know and ones that like a little on the cooler side because they’ll be lots of shade with those type trees. If you do brackish you could throw in some reptiles like the salt water iguanas of some sort maybe I don’t think they stray too far away from their salt water existence, but you never know animals have committed Seppuku before 😂 you would have to look up more about the Fauna Flora I know somebody who has a fog machine hidden strategically in there a little West Coast type garden area… I know that goldfish would do well as long as the water is fresh but I’m thinking in China the redwood tree called the Dawn redwood tree. Anyway, both of them are all three of them tolerate cold weather pretty well in fact, really well that one mean the fish in the water near them would also tolerate or prefer cold water in China which a lot of people don’t know they discovered goldfish first there are no naturally born goldfish. They are all man-made, and the first fish were called the common goldfish, the comet, and then the Shubunkin . All bred in a China. The Japanese are known for the koi. Another thing that might play into what type call fish you put in a freshwater pond is you’re going to put plants inside that pond coil are notorious vegetarian and will eat your plants. The other goldfish aforementioned the ones the Chinese developed are primarily bug eaters and won’t touch your plants in the pond, just for your future references now I wrote you a book lol this is just a suggestion because I think it would be so awesome to have those majestic trees or just a few of them in your area put some box turtles, and ferns and that in there

Michigan girl here!! Having trouble over the winter the last 2 years of losing water and keeping the pond from freezing over. I'm having to run a hose from my utility room out to the pond to keep the water level up and at least part of the surface from freezing over. Full disclosure.... I sort of inherited the pond from my father in law. He kept it beautiful for over 26 years. A series of health issues later and now it's my job to keep the pond up. And well.... I'm failing. The makeshift bucket filter does not keep the water clean no matter the materials used. It is a goldfish 🫣 pond with a few perch on occasion to keep the goldfish numbers from getting too out of control. It's about 6 feet across and at its deepest maybe 3 feet with a ledge of about 1 1/2 feet deep . If I let the pond lilies and lotus' have their way the water stops flowing and it turns into a mosquito haven. Yet keeping them under control allows raccoons and birds to eat the fish. I am over my head with how to take care of it. Any diy ways I can use to make the pond life better would be amazing. As a preschool teacher my funds are limited 😅 so it would have to be things I can do on a very small budget.
