2:30 Filled in in the '60s. That explains it right there. What was allowed to be done to property and the landscape in the 1960s was a cultural crime, an atrocity. Worcester and in particular it's medieval Shambles was utterly destroyed. And elsewhere in the country the blocks of hideous Council flats and vile, soulless shopping centres in High streets still stand as testament to an absence of thought and regulations.

We call the boot room a mud porch/laundry room. Great little house I love it and the gardens are amazing.

Fabulous property, oozing charm and history. Am I right in thinking it is “slightly” attached? Thanks for the tour. Thirty years ago I would be ringing up for a viewing!

Simon, I really enjoyed your venture out of the city to this lovely little spot. Is that a covered well out there in the garden ( as you approached the house ) ? I love the sound of the walking upon gravel and also the sound of all the door latches. Those latches are distinctly from US versions. Even the modern UK ones are nice. By the way, is that big oak post in the sitting room a newer addition ? Essential to support that ceiling no doubt but it doesn't match the old beams.
@simonatuniquepropertycompany Жыл бұрын
Thanks again for watching. Correct, the pillar in the living room isn't original but the beam is.

Why is the light flickering in that corridor? Whats that noise… is the cottage next to a busy road? 🤔

Most of the paint colors are ghastly for the interior of this cottage. The owners should have stuck with the original white (and by that I mean researched what color of white was used for the interior), and utilized colors in the textiles to add color to the bedrooms, and rooms. Some of the newer added textiles, like the back splash tiles in the white bathroom (although I wouldn’t have added a backsplash-it is an example) with the large bathtub were done this way.

Whoever designed those bathrooms in this absolutely lovely Tudor cottage should go to jail, especially this first floor bath. Those modern tiles look horrific.

Wise to have first half all about the garden. Inside the rooms are dark, gloomy and crammed with ugly furniture. Of COURSE that can be taken out, but they should have dressed up the house better.
@joannlessner155113 күн бұрын
The cottage is cute, but the colors on the wall are awful. Don't know how they stand them.

Very low ceilings. Small windows. Very depressing in Winter. Also I've just lived in a house with 'cute' dormer windows and ceilings that slope into the rooms. It was VERY BORING.
