Thank you! With the AC we actually cut the plastic louvers on the back side. Then placed a metal screen that we picked up at Home depot Galvanized Steel Stucco Netting. Then some aluminum to rivit it in. We say another video some time back. Just makes the AC unit run more efficiently by gett8ng more air to the cooling fans. Had plans to do a video and other videos took priority. I should see if I still have the footage. Ty for the reminder.

Hello, thanks for the video! Which battery packs do you use for your indoor lights?
@OutOfOfficeCamping2 жыл бұрын
Hello Dre DeLion, Yes for the fair lights we use amzn.to/3IGsLMd usb battery pack. Actually, we love to use our solar Luci lights the most amzn.to/3hz7N6f, We also use some of the motion USB light amzn.to/37208vj and amzn.to/3pyOX3i The fair lights as seen in this camper video amzn.to/3C9Hzk0 with just a small usb battery pack mentioned above. We also have a video with the different size portable power stations we use off grid. In general, a small unit 150-300 watts would be plenty to run basic lights. We are currently test a Techoss 300 watt and really like the price and size amzn.to/3IG3bHb. We will have a video soon. If you plan on running a cooler, then you would want at least a 1000-watt power station. Check out some of the other off grid videos to see everything we use. Please let us know if you have any other questions. I hope this helps. 🙂 Mark

Hi. I have a couple of questions for you: Can you drive with the pop-up camper deployed and raised for use? I heard no. Also, do you have to pack everything that is in your camper? Is it below in the casing or is it in your car? (I ask because you have a microwave)
@OutOfOfficeCamping2 жыл бұрын
Hello Nicole, Great questions. No you can not drive with the camper popped. We've move ours around our property before popped. As for all our stuff, some goes in the truck like our cooler and some food while traveling. The microwave when we have an electric hook up we just carry that in our pop up isle then pack soft items around it. We always take the glass and wrap it in a hand towel. Other wise a lot of the other items we just keep in the various storages spots. We only put the things we need to take in or out with the roof down in the isle way. We also have a large front compartment which we put things that are OK if they get wet. Our front storge box has seen better days. Hope to replace that in the near future. Happy Camping Mark (& Teresa)

Robert, yes it is amazing how affordable everything had become. We love to watch Will Prowse DIY Solar Power on YT. One of his latest builds for off grid 48 volt $20,000 said could easily be paid back with in 4-9 years based on what region and cost per kilo watt hour. I have always liked the idea of a wind turbine and water. So many environmental options. Love to learn and plan to build a couple simple systems of our out buildings. Price for a SOK lithium battery seems like a no brainer. Just gets better and better and cheaper and cheaper. What part of the country are you in to get good wind power? What's your solar system 48 volt, 24 volt?
@robertwinton26493 жыл бұрын
I have an idea that I would like to share but you must remember it is strictly an idea merely something to think about having electricity out in the middle of nowhere where there is no utility more than enough electricity to run a microwave oven induction wave cooktop automatic drip coffee maker merely a thought to ponder Solar panels. Charge controller for solar panels and deep cycle batteries like I said merely a thought to ponder on and that's it
@OutOfOfficeCamping3 жыл бұрын
Hello Robert, Yes great suggestion. We actually have a very robust solar set up with 2367 watts power and 900 watts of solar panels.( see our other video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYnCaJqrateqfZY ) No problem running the microwave. Just one less thing to carry when camping remote for a week. Mark ( & Teresa)
