Are there no ways to offset? I use a biogas digester and solar cells and produce abundant electricity. Are you stuck on government control of the grid?

I think he means that light, heating, automated watering cost energy to keep up everyday. Thats the disasvantage of indoor growing.

It definitely takes up a lot of room, maybe something on a smaller scale could work for you? Thanks for watching :)

To say amazing doesn't do it justice. If they were vegetables they would be self sufficient.

Muy bueno tus sistemas hidropónicos , con que pH y ec o ppm estás trabajando? Gracias
@nigelrannard9140
@nigelrannard9140 2 жыл бұрын
We run pH at 5.5 and ec at around 1.0. Much higher than that starts to set the growth rate back a bit.

@@nigelrannard9140 si cultivarias vegetales como la lechuga acelgas, usarías la misma ec?
@nigelrannard9140
@nigelrannard9140 2 жыл бұрын
@@Carlos-ni3tq vegetables have a much higher ec, depending on what stage of growth they're at. Up to 2.4ec. Epiphytic plants have less access to nutrients in nature and have adapted to grow with less. Supplying ec that's too high will damage roots and actually end up reducing the plants ability to absorb nutrients

Otra consulta, usas algo para prevenir hongos en las raices?
@nigelrannard9140

We inoculate regularly with mychorrizal fungi and beneficial bacteria and use enzymes when needed. If root issues get out of control we'll need to sterilise media and start over with the good microbes again. Highly aerating the Reservoirs keeps O2 as high as possible. Aiming to keep the Reservoirs around 20°C also helps a lot to control pythium.
