Ok. We get it. From the factory. The original 100s are the real deal. Lovely sports cars. After that they just got heavy! I always like the Healey blue.

How many of these cars were made? Would this car be considered rare?

A buddy of mine has a similar 56 LeMans 100 BN1 (teal & creme) that won best in class at this years Austin Healey Conclave up in Big Bear Ca. They had approx.170 Healey's show up to this event and it was like being in Healy Heaven. If you ever get a chance to go to one of these Conclave's I would highly recommend it... Nice Healey BTW...

In 1964 I traded my MG TC (VIC REG AN955) on to A/H 100 BN1 (VIC REG GGU613) AT JOHN OULD MOTORS. I picked it up at John's dealership and drove it away to return home. My new Healey had a very expensive blood red pain job and looked a miii0on dollars. I stopped at the first set of traffic where i sat admiring a gorgeous blonde crossing over. She looked at the car and walked over asking me to take her for a drive. I almost burst into tears thinking of all of those wasted years when I did not have a red Austin Healey 100. But such a wonderful thing never happened again. Two years later i traded it in for a 1200 VW (the last one to come down the production line) to avoid bankruptcy - repairing the solenoid in the overdrive alone no doubt provided a good annual living for my electrical technician. Some years later I bought a Bug eye Sprite. BRG, wide silver racing wheels it looked like a miniature D type. No gorgeous blonde ever approached me though. Probably because my passenger)(s) where around 2 years old
