Love Redwoods. Growing up on the mouth of the Klamath River in Requa,CA we were right in the middle of them. Our house literally sat up on a hill overlooking the river mouth. My father was the manager of then Simpson veneer & plywood plant in Klamath CA. Of course that was back in the 60s...my brother and I worked in the summer at Trees of Mystery there in Klamath. That place has changed somewhat since we were there. I really miss living there, so beautiful and full of wildlife!! 😘 Have a great weekend Jason. 👋🏻

Hi Jason and Stacy. This is Stacey from way back in the Whatcom Day school days. This video came up in a KZbin search I did and I sure was surprised to see your face. It’s great to see what you guys are doing with your 50 acres. I hope all is well for you both!

Hi Stacey! Great to hear from you. I'm glad you commented 😊 hope you are well! Are you doing seedling/tree planting stuff? So far we have planted about 20,000 seedling on our property, lots of trees and lots of shade for future generations 😉

You should work with Fred at the sawmill to recycle the sawdust from milling your cedar logs, and ship the sawdust to your redwood tree arborist

Hi Jason I loved this video. I used to do some plant propagation but not on this scale. If you want to know details on the best way to propagate each type of plant I would suggest getting a good propagation book. I had one written by Hartman and Kester. They may have one to check out at your local library. It will go in great detail like what size cutting, when to take cuttings, if you need root hormone, what type of cutting to take heal cutting for example, or if it only can be grown from seed and when to plant and germination time. A good book will increase your success rate.
