Touring Bakersfield's Pioneer Village Museum

I've been wanting to do a piece on Pioneer Village since I started the channel, but time constraints and Covid made that impossible. I never gave up though, and was finally able to spend a couple of days there getting it done.
I know history and museums aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I REALLY wanted to do this. I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for this Mark. It reminds me of climbing on the bus in first grade as a student in Mrs Carl’s class at Wells Elementary and driving down the 58 on a field trip to Pioneer Village.

Sonora gas station last owned by my husband’s uncle, Chet Candelaria. Was closed for years before moved to museum. Thank you for a wonderful video tour! My son and his wife held their wedding reception in 2021 in front of Uncle Chet’s gas station.

I used to live in Lompoc my stepdaughters were in Middle School this was about 85 we went out to the Tar Pits for her science project the Dig around you need a magnifying glass but I came across a breastplate of a bird that was larger than a condor and this bird was 50,000 years old I still have it

I've only visited the site once and that as around 2005. It's amazing ho many local and regional residents know nothing about it!

Well Done A new subscriber here my friend :) Can remember growing up on oleander by Beale park and BHS In the 60s Walking to Roosevelt and later on saint Francis During those years.
