We avoided 4th Avenue as it was where the drug deals went down, seedy strip joints and bars, and women worked the oldest profession up and down 4th. It looks beautiful now and how the city has grown. Enjoyed your video. Thanks.

Good tips😁. Do you know about how much is a liveable hourly/yearly wage for a single guy(no plans for a family) not trying to live like a king? I assume, like anywhere, I can find decent, cheaper apartments further from Anchorage?
@susanhouser36765 жыл бұрын
I think at least $15 + per hour. Check State of Alaska website: www.alexsys.dol.alaska.gov to search jobs. You can go onto CraigsList Alaska to check prices on housing. Good luck.
@yujinyi60995 жыл бұрын
Seeing as rent starts at least at $1000 and utilities could be at least $60 each if they’re not included, I’d guess you need to make at least $2200/month to get by.
@yujinyi60995 жыл бұрын
D watson As for cheap housing, the Mush Inn has monthly rates but the hospital bill for bed bug bites are on you. The Black Angus MIGHT have cheap prices, but it’s not worth the weekly shootouts and drug busts.

@@THOMASGPII It's a struggle because I make a similar wage, but I got some extra income in the form of stock dividends and other things. Still it can be done, I get to live alone and I manage to pay for it every month. Why in the world would you want to move here? It kinda sucks.

What is the night life in Anchorage like? It's after all a city of about 300k people and the most important place in Alaska so there must be some good restaurants, bars and night clubs and events going on all the time as well 😁

It is so surprising that this looks like any other town. Alaska looks so isolated and unpopulated on Google maps. But then you see a video like this.

Miss Anchorage, unfortunately my overseas work keeps me away from my home 11 of 12 months a year ☹️☹️☹️. I make the most of my one month home when I am home. Definitely need to visit the Ulu Factory. Haven’t tried the ice cream shop yet. One of the best places to eat is Humpys - personal opinion. Also recommend the Brew House for great micro brews

I've been wanting to move to Alaska for years{I prefer the winter climate more} but I'm always sidetracked...wow I thought it was always freezing up there...I guess that north pole image is much further north...I don't know yet but I'm getting closer and closer to heading up there...wait a minute marijuana is legal up there? Man that's just icing on the cake and I wasn't even concerned about that...wow yeah Alaska is the dream for me.

I live in Anchorage and downtown is not where the action is at here in Alaska. Anchorage is basically a BIG small town. I still see people I went to kindergarten with around town and I've been graduated for about 6years now.
