Carport. That would come in handy. Get rid of the fireplaces and the big windows.

The carport. A carport I could use. Throw away the fireplaces and do something about those big windows.

Very cool MCM house in Crestwood. Ceilings seemed so low in kitchen area and NO basement. I lived in StL for 25 years. You need a basement. Too many tornado warnings and actual tornados. Awesome ceiling light fixtures in a few rooms too. Enjoyed the tour. TY :)

Glad you enjoyed it! Being that the house is built into the hill, the utility room provides shelter incase of severe storms.

I loved this tour of this darling home! I love how they preserved the style and didn’t renovate it and make it boring! I love the architecture style so much! Also, fyi, clerestory windows are windows that are above eye level. The ones that you kept calling clerestory windows are at eye level, and are just nice regular windows. The windows that go along the roof line and create the interesting shapes with the geometry of the space could be referred to as clerestory windows, though. 😊

@@mikebarry1514 the handles were an exact match to the ones in an amazing house in okc with a vintage st Charles kitchen! It's a private home but it should be a museum. I hope the new owners don't "moderize" the kitchen
@Lucinda_Jackson3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think those cabinets were metal or had the kind of original hardware that would have been in metal cabinets. They look to me like white wood cabinets custom designed to evoke that feeling and even the hardware suggests the same vibe as the old, original style hardware from metal cupboards.
@AJShiningThreads3 жыл бұрын
@@Lucinda_Jackson sadly, I think they were NOT though those handles look exactly like the the vintage St Charles ones. I think had it been original he would have said so also white wasn't super common. The ones in the Warren House were a light bluish-green with a chrome edging and a yellow countertop. It sounds terrible but it was AMAZING
@ThisHouse3 жыл бұрын
We were not able to confirm if they were St Charles Cabinets or not, we had our suspicions, but did not want to misspeak. It is VERY possible that they are.

Don't understand the need for the outdoor shower. Is that to wash off before entering the hot tub? Can't be because of becoming grimy due to working in that tiny garden!

Not meaning to nit-pick, but the proper term for those windows is "clerestory" not "clear story."

We said clerestory, it's just that St. Louis accent that makes it sound like clear story. Thanks for watching!

Dude, get a dictionary! They are not clerestory anything. They are just windows.
@greeneyedwarlock882 Жыл бұрын
"Clerestory" window?!? No, all the windows he referred to as such are NOT clerestory windows. They are simply windows. Clerestory windows are ones that start at a highpoint on a wall and go all the way to the ceiling. The Host does not know what he's talking about. The house is cute....nothing mind blowing though.
