I almost became an architect, ended up becoming a CPA, but I still love architecture. Mid century modern is amazing!

Breathtaking- this is how one does: contemporary, mid-century and minimalism. Absolute & total perfection. Looking up the architects now.

What a fantastic video! This is amazing content and well done. My wife and I are in the process of purchasing a Mid Century Modern home in NC built in 1958. This video was super informative. As someone said earlier, you are truly underrated. This is my first time watching a video of yours and figured this one would have had millions of views. Keep up the good work!

I noticed the spray paint ACAB. I wonder if that Starbucks is still open. I have often travelled to Seattle. It was one of the most beautiful cities in the US. Now, not so much. I even considered moving there once. I love Eichlers. If I design and build another home, that’ll be the kind that I build.

Man, you're so under rated. Keep putting out content like this and you'll be golden. Wife and I watch all your stuff, we've also appreciated some of your feedback on CityData, although at the time we didn't know it was you ;). If you are taking suggestions, we'd love to see a similar video to this on the Tudor high pitch roof houses all over Seattle. We currently live in Arizona but in the next few years will be relocating to your neck of the woods. We loved Green Lake, Laurel Hurst, Bryant, etc.

Bahaus style from Germany influenced the modern movement a great deal as well.
@ahomeinSeattle2 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed! The style mostly originates from Le Corbusier and the Bauhaus school and Americans try to make it cheap and easily reproducible (which I suppose was Le Corbusier's dream as well but he was never able to make it happen at scale). I love everything that came out of Bauhaus.
