Hey , brother , just a shout out of appreciation, I enjoy your channel. Just put an 07 FB in my life, and I love it. You provide great insight into the tweeks and functional usages. My first thought on my sled was to make it more of a touring bike for comfort and to be able to strip it down quickly to ride local too. I'm happy to have found your channel. Ride On!

I bought a 2022 Fat Boy, I’ll put a detachable windshield on my bike but I hate the look of windshields on my bike, I want my bike as naked as possible. I do need to replace the stock seat, after an hour it’s absolutely killing my butt. I’m looking for detachable leather bags, the Harley bags for $900+ are garbage, not leather, probably made in China, terrible reviews so I’m shopping around, found a great place online, all leather, very expensive, big money on the seat and bags coming up. Great video, thanks.

Thx for the video. I am an owner of a fb 2021.. i really like it but i am wonderimg why you don't exchange it with a road king standard. For long distance riding this bike have most standard what you are buying in addition and the main frame chassis (incl. Rubber) makes it a difference too on these touring bikes no? Ok, they don't have usb installed from the factory and don't have led lights. But that you can change/add easily. What is your opinion?
@TheBadgers2 жыл бұрын
Great question, the Road King is a great bike, but I love the softails. The balanced motor, they are lighter, and in my opinion more agile than the Road King. I have less money in all 4 of my bikes than 1 new Road King would cost me. I worked at a Harley Dealership for a few years and I have ridden them all, my favorite bike hands down is the Softail lineup.

I just bought a new 20022 Fat Boy, I want to do some short traveling and I appreciate your putting this video together, it really helps. One question, do you recommend I purchase a windshield from Harley, a detachable? I see they have a 19 inch and a 15 inch, I'm leaning toward the smaller 15 inch, your thoughts please? Oh , two more things, I'm getting cruise control and heated hand grips. Thank you!
@TheBadgers2 жыл бұрын
I like the shorter windshields myself, but it is truly riders choice. Hopefully you have the ability to try a bike with both sizes before you buy

On my last long ride I forgot my electric vest. Riding all day long in the rain, makes for a miserable experience even in the middle of summer.

Hey Badger..interested in buying a 2006 cvo fat boy..supposedly with lowered suspension compared to standard fat boy..I had a 06 softail duece before and found the ride a bit harder than I like. Does the fat boy ride harsh compared to other softails? Is there suspension upgrade you recommend for the cvo or other fat boy suspension? THankyou I really appreciate your channel and look forward to your response...I am ready to buy but don't want to regret it.
@TheBadgers2 жыл бұрын
I personally don't think they ride harder, but there are a few factors. First did you know you can adjust the factory shocks?? I have ran the factory originals in mine for over 135,000 and don't mind them at all. As far as replacements go I have HEARD legends make good replacements, but I have no experience with them.

@stevenpacheco7729 I don't know if you got your Fatboy yet, or of you've done more homework, but the version with the black rims is the Fatboy Lo. It came with a slightly narrowed, but usable (for the driver [not so great for passenger]) seat, and lowered suspension.

Get a decent throttle lock or even a throttle control assistant. The assistant let's you use the heel of you thumb allowing you to stretch your fingers. Used on an 09 Sportster 1200 from Mentor, OH down to Pigeon Forge, TN. Definitely helped a lot on that ride.
