As an architect, I must say that this is number 1 on my list of the most brilliant creations of all time!

Lautner was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. You can see the influence in this gorgeous home.

@@thebob01 Yes, I know about it. But I found out not so long ago that this house originally looked not exactly like it does now. There was not much information about it in books and various videos.

@@nd5301 It has definitely been upgraded over the years for sure. It's amazing. Would love to visit it one day. I've been to Fallingwater in Pennsylvania as well which is incredible in it's own right.

@@thebob01 Wow! It's a great luck to see another masterpiece! By the way, do you happen to know who crossed Goldstein's residence? After all, initially there were no concrete sofas under the canopy of the main pavilion.
@thebob0111 сағат бұрын
@@nd5301 I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "crossed Goldstein's residence?"The Sheats-Goldstein Residence has had many celebrities within it's walls from movies, to music videos, to photo shoots. It's open to the public as well as far as I know to visit. James Goldstein has said that he wants the house to be a museum for aspiring architects to visit for inspiration after he's gone.

this is one of the best tours of this house I've seen and I've watched every video on KZbin Vimeo or from heritage sites of every Lautner house. but you were able to tie together the location of some areas I was unclear on as well as really outstanding videography. amazing!! now if I'm honest I'm still a bit sore about the loss of the Warren/Concannon but I'm sure he must have been ok, I just really liked it and can no longer find the video that the lady who rented it for years made in it. it was the only video from inside that house I've ever located but that not the point. you did a truly excellent tour and video with proper information as well. I love to see things done exceptionally well. you have a lovely bueatiful voice and tone as well. im sure you're well on your way to where it is you desire to be. thank you for sharing this with the world so that can see how much of a genius Lautner was. cheers

Gregory, it made my morning to read your kind words today - thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I would love to create more like it! If you ever happen upon the video of the Concannon Warren house you mentioned, please share it! I would love to see that too. Fascinating work by a great architect.

Is Andrea Kreuzhage the resident you're talking about? I found photos that seem to indicate she renovated the home before it was demolished www.flickr.com/photos/1000journals/albums/72157629727729197/with/7040415521

@@heckyeahhome yes ma'am that's exactly what her name was. She walked through it telling the camera some of the things she had redone. The furniture was sparce and she had made an office area to work. I recall her saying that was the reason for renting either to be close to work or have a peaceful place to work with minimal distractions. I would have never remembered her name but as soon as I saw What you wrote I remembered instantly I will do some searching for it I apologize I was trying to message yesterday but I got kicked off of comments for 24 hours Because I'm too truthful for some people Or the KZbin moderators LOL but again truly just a really really nice video with a lot of clear explanation and information again wonderful very outstanding cheers
