Knowing the background of a finished product makes it easier to appreciate and afford.

I remember this brand when I was an adolescent in the early 70s. Those Kohler vise in the workshop during the Industrial Arts subject at my school. All the way from Wisconsin to the small town of Alor Setar in Malaysia.

I always thought the enamel was sprayed on the tubs, I never thought it was a powder.

"And then it's time to heat it up." Cuts to a couple ladles that are under torch... Guess they didn't get footage of the real melt operation.

That seems like one work place that you don't want to stumble and have to grab something to hold yourself up in.

I work at kohler we pour what we call "slip/clay" into a mold and then we put it in a kiln then after that it goes to the spray booth the through quality control

It's great to see glimpses like this into American manufacturing that still exists today. We actually used to build our own things in this country and if we keep putting global economic ideas up on a pedastal, even a company like Kohler won't be able to manufacture products in America anymore.

Please can someone tell me whoever thought it was a good idea for a toilet not to have smooth sides (easy to clean), but to have sides that follow the poop tube from the bowl to the pipes. Yuck, really??? When I was changing out toilets, I just wanted a disability height (you will thank yourself if you are an adult of ANY age), elongated lid, dual flush white toilet with a smooth bottom to clean. Couldn't find it anywhere (THD or Lowes or Amazon) for any reasonable price.

You're gonna have to spend the $$$ to get a skirted Kohler toilet.
