Love that hut mate, 5 star no doubt about it. They've done a great job on the falls too. Trout? I was yelling at the TV hoping you'd hear me telling ya where you should stand and cast. Those Soft Plastics I sent ya would have worked if ya had them then. Stand up at the head of the rapids, cast into the fast water and guide the SP to the under cut bank. When the line starts to tighten, give the rod tip a slight wiggle and wait for the take. It will be violent so be ready. It's pretty much a fly tech I used to use called the Leisenring Lift that Gary Borger taught me back in the 80s. It will take a little practice, but once mastered it's deadly. There, the secrets out, only one of them anyway. The others...... I'll e-mail to ya. Great vid and stay well mate. Cheers as always, BobbyB.

Another excellent vid Krusty, such a great area. Ive caught and released trout in that very section at the bridge at Wheelers creek hut and also at Ohagens where you pulled in, also snake central down there! Maybe next time try something a bit smaller like a strike tiger nymph soft plastic or something similar. Keep up the great work mate, really enjoy the stuff you do.

That was very entertaining as always Gav ,I really like the huts and I have seen a few myself there is a Wheelers Hut in NSW as well it's in the Jagungal Wilderness area close to the Tooma River upstream from the Tooma Dam .It's beautiful up there but not easy to get to unless you hike in .As for the Thowgla and the Gibbo I've fished them both at different locations over the years and they always produced especially the Gibbo and Wheelers Creek as well.Keep up the good work mate love your vids .

Love the whole Benambra area, plenty of little camp spots all the way up to Nariel. It was such a shame to see it burnt out in 2019 so l can certainly appreciate the rebuilding efforts of the Vic Huts Assoc. A long time ago when Lake Omeo was always full, we use to explore all along the road to Colac Colac, we did not have capable vehicle to explore the steep tracks and only camped at flatter places such as Stacey's Bridge and Nariel Valley. I realise now there is so much more to see up there, thanks to your vids! I often regret not having purchased the 3 acre block at Nariel Creek back in the 80s as the valley has always held my interest...lol life hey, is always full of what ifs! 😂 The steep track descending to the main road l think is called six mile track, never attempted it in the Jimny in the 80s, lol but might have a go in the 100s next time. haha Thanks Gav, as always videos are informative, very scenic and always bring a chuckle when you do mad things like icy cold water baths! Haha l can feel the pain of those, no longer mad enough to get to wet in off season, although being half mad probably helps! 😂

Excellent vid Gav , I reckon if you wade upstream flicking your lure as you go you will catch a fish. Flicking scrub worms usually works mate , so maybe carry a few scrubbys with you. From Pinnabar head down to the Nariel Valley , there’s some excellent campsites along the creek and if you don’t catch a fish down there it might be time to towel the trout fishing 😂.

Really do enjoy the bush scenes and the wild life , did you notice the calls of the Fantail cuckoo in the background? 😉. Great video Gav really enjoyed it. So did mum some great spots aren't they? I can't give you any help on the fishing mate. Geezus you make me champ at the bit for some more driving adventures and bush camping. I'm stuck at home at the moment, but I can see my last years doing nothing but living out of my car and cruising the high country of SE Australia. Pop into towns for some fuel and tucker, then FO again into the scrub. Bacon 'n Bum nuts for brekky? No Weetbix available at the Wheeler's Hut General Store?🤣 I've read about some Jungle tribes using ropes of vines across rivers to enable a decent aqua-shit. A leg either side, a walk into the stream, a dump, and a walk back cleans the cheeks. Great idea. I'm sure if you do actually catch a fish one-day it'll cause a newsflash on the ABC, so I'll hear about it. 🤣 Always excellent viewing Krusty, thanks for all the hard work. 😀👍 Great to see you having a flirt with the dirt. There's no trouble in the rubble.
