If you paint the inside of the fish tank, that will help a lot with the color of the water.

I think it has a lot to do with long stream and sump process. Also it takes a looong time for the balance to be found in a cement pond. It takes a year, at least, to truly cure.

Is there any reason why you don't ever stain clear coat the wood or painted or something to protect it that way it doesn't rot super fast in the Florida weather I don't understand why people don't do that you just leave regular wood out in the elements is not going to last long at all and it ends up looking at trashy after like a year

Its because the animals chew and claw into the wood. Any type of protection on the wood would be toxic if they ingested it.

Tyler needs some bigger enclosures, especially for his monitors. They deserve Height, plants and water feature, see Tom Crutchfield as the example, doesn’t need to be fancy or pricey, just needs to Right.
