Paruthiveeran is an excellent artistic product and also an excellent commercial product. The production cost by both Gnanvel and Ameer's interviews was shared between Gnanavel and Ameer. Gnanevel gave around 50% of the 5.5 crore cost and Ameer pulled of 50% of the cost. After the disputed settlement, roughly 1 crore + remains to be settled to Ameer as per Ameer's demand.. The proceeds of the sale was 15 crores pocketed by Gnanavel only. Gnanvel should have easily given 1 crore+ and shut this issue down on a film with new comers and a low budget and an industry hit..Its also not a big deal for Karthi-Sivakumar family to do one time settlement for some one who gave the best launch till date for a hero in Tamil cinema.

Ameer's basic problem is human relationship & lack of inter personnel communicative ability. It is natural for not only Ameer but also for many. Yet, Ameer is a bold & brutally frank artist. Artists per se would be mostly living aloof & detached from people, even amidst a crowd, in practical life. That could be the reason for his inability to cope with practical people. Besides, he is quite frank about himself & issues. This might be construed as undiplomatic and at times, defiance, by many. That could be the reason for his having been stabbed in the back. If he were to adapt to practical world, there is a danger of losing his artistic sense in film making. Artists are a discerning lot. They need space & aloofness. In such situations, others would become botheration & hurdles. If the artist in ameer were to adapt to practical reality, his art might get diluted. Then the artist in him would die & a practical man, be born. Art would fade away & die a natural death within him. That is the danger. To strike a balance needs conscious thinking & effort.That is easily said than done. In his interviews so far, what I have observed is his frankness tinged with a sort of innocence. His physique appears to be opposite to the above perception. My perception of Ameer as a person has taken an 180-degree turn for the good after watching this series, so far. Kudos.

Brother, playing devils advocate here from Production house's pov - Getting twice the footage and almost exceeding 170 percent of the budget is not good enough. He lacks inter personal skills is fine but he should be skilled in maintaining his skill in being director. A director needs to keep in check with all aspects. Else, he could go with a specialist role like Writer right? I guess he wanted to get more money and keep producing movies under his banner but lacks financial backing sadly. This might be the reason for him to produce movies. Now, if that's the case I disagree with your point of being a pure artist. If he's a pure artist, sometimes people will outright reject a product. Who would even bankroll such a project except himself? If that's really true, please explain about Adhi Bhagavan - movie went on for 3 years and it was a loss venture. The production house went bankrupt. If this would have happened with Paruthiveeran, similar fate would have happened and it would have ceased to exist. I guess both director and producer have made some mistakes and should patch up which they won't sadly. Whatever you mentioned is right to a pure artist but I disagree with Ameer as being a pure artist. He's an excellent technician and a writer. Thats about it and not a people person nor a good director nor a good decision maker - remade Tsotsi in Tamil. Cheers!
