After finish watching this seven parts interview, I have a huge respect to Mr.Chithra Lakshmanan. தான் புத்திசாலித்தனமாக கேள்வி கேட்கனும்னு பெருசு பெருசா பேசாம நிதானமா, அழகா, குறுக்கிடாமல் பதிலை ஆழமாக வாங்குவது என்றும்.. அவரின் அற்புதமான சினிமாவிற்கான நேசமும் தெரிகிறது. வசந்தபாலனும் ஆகச்சிறந்த இயக்குனர்.. ஒவ்வொரு முறை அரவாண், காவியத்தலைவன் தோல்வி படங்கள் என்று சொல்வதை கேட்கவே பிடிக்கவில்லை.. இரண்டுமே அவர் யாரென்று பிரமிக்கவைத்த முக்கியமான படங்கள்.. வணிக வெற்றியை வைத்து தோல்வி என்று சொல்ல வேண்டாம். மணிரத்தினத்தின் சிறந்த படம் இருவர். அதைபோல தான் இவருக்கு அரவாணும், காவியத்தலைவனும்.. வெயில், அங்காடித்தெரு சிறந்த படங்கள் தான்.. ஆனால் அதை தாண்டிய உலகசினிமா அரவாண் & காவியத்தலைவன். வசந்தபாலனின் அடுத்தடுத்த மேஜிக்கை காண badly waiting 🙇🏻‍♂️

Having said … வெயில் படத்தின் கதை, அமரர் சுஜாதா எழுதிய "மாஞ்சு" சிறுகதையை ஒட்டியது என்று எங்காவது சொல்லி இருந்திருக்கலாம். Copy அடித்தார் என்று சொல்லவில்லை, but could be a strong inspiration. வாழ்வில் தோல்வியுற்று மதிக்கப்படாத அண்ணன், வெற்றியடைந்து எல்லாரும் போற்று தம்பி இவர்கள் இருவரைப் பற்றிய கதை தான் "மாஞ்சு". அது தான் வெய்யிலின் கதைக் கருவும். அதே போல, அசுரனைப்பற்றி பேசும்போது அதில் நடித்த தனுஷ் பற்றி புகழ்ந்து சொன்னவர், சக இயக்குனராக வெற்றிமாறனைப் பற்றியும் சொல்லி இருந்திருக்கலாம் Anyways, best wishes Vasantha Balan.
