This is the Golden Era of our Cambodia Empire. My beloved father was a wellknown successful entrepreneur in Gemologies located in Pailin Province since 1975 Cambodia turn into the darkness time bloodshed country that wipes off Millions Khmers pop. My father escaped Khmer Rouge at the very last with empty hands he’s business partner fled Cambodia before 1975 they are well and continues successfully inherit their wealth to another part of the countries . Only nostalgics whenever I watch this treasure footage. Khmers people are very noble and civilized people beautiful Contry beautiful people unfortunately nothing last forever . 😔🙏🇰🇭❤️🌎😓

Or Lon Noel moments. Pol Pot was horrible, but people like to forget that Lon Noel was in many ways the catalyst for everything bad that was in store for the Cambodians (Pol Pot included of coarse).

Imagine, Cambodia didn’t have freaking Sihanourk, you mean? He started / coined the Khmer Rouge. Sihanourk was a trader and well connected to China (Communism)

@@vannakr25The whole royal family honestly. In the past 500 years they have made nothing but bad decisions, but brainwashed people still worship them for the good they did. Sihanouk took one step forward with independence from France, but took 1000 steps backwards with what he did next.

@Neicha Reich yep very true because you never experienced in life what is freedom of expression. That why you scared yourself can't control yourself, no confidence yourself. So allowing yourself being controlled. Khmer rough was not a bad ideas to begin with. But wrong leadership like you...can be turned democracy to dumo.crazy or democrazcy ?

This was about 15 years before Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge dictatorship ruined Cambodia. The Vietnamese did something to end the Khmer Rouge regime. The Vietnamese invaded Cambodia for political and military reasons, but even they were disgusted when they found the Killing Fields.👏

In the 1970s it was Sihanouk who tricked the Cambodians to support the Khmer Rouge so that he could regain this throne from Marshal Lon Nol. It was Sihanouk who gave rise to the Khmer Rouge. Shame that Cambodians no longer remember the true history.

That is true, however China was primarily responsible for the rise of the Khmer Rouge. China funded them, over one billion dollars in weapons. The USA bombing of Cambodia was also a type of fertiliser for the Khmer Rouge in rural areas.
