Greetings from far West Texas! Indeed! I don't think Tim knows the cultural and monetary significance of Gold (Au) and Silver (Ag) in countries outside the collective West, especially in the Middle Eastern countries. There are exceptions of course, even so. PEACE and be well.

Ha! Got to stay days in bahrain after the airline asked for my transit flight in exchange for days and hotel stay! I invited myself to an oil barrens ball, a bedwin hotel wedding and, a mosque and a womens underwear shop by the sheikh's right hand man who stopped in his limousine to "show me" arround! And that was just the start! Met the indian comminity who opened their seceet and sacred temples to me for puja... Interesting for a woman travelling there alone! Many offers of😅 Arabian Nights!

Why are you going around Gold shops in Bahrain and calling them fake?
@scottmccutcheon9828 Жыл бұрын
Greetings from far West Texas! Unfortunately, for Tim, he doesn't have any knowledge of the cultural and monetary significance of Gold (Au) and Silver (Ag) in countries outside the collective West, especially in the Middle Eastern countries. There are exceptions of course, even so. Perhaps the educational system in Greece has been woefully degraded as it has, for example, here in the U.S.A. I'm sure you'll agree, Gold and Silver have a rich historical cultural and monetary significance in Greece, going back millennia just as in the Middle Eastern countries, yet in the Western countries that significance has been greatly diminished. I will venture to guess that "fake" Gold is likely illegal to sell in some, if not all, Middle Eastern countries, am I correct? PEACE and be well.

@@scottmccutcheon9828 the money he uses to buy is more fake than the gold and silver in those shops
@scottmccutcheon9828 Жыл бұрын
@@seriouscash Indeed! 100% true! That is the point of my comment. Unfortunately, Tim's observation reveals something that has plagued the U.S. for decades and has quite likely heavily influenced Greece (particularly since the formalizing of the European Economic Union and the establishment of the Euro fiat currency), and that has to do with the education. All the ancient cultures used Ag and Au as basis of their monetary systems. And that includes ancient Greece. Much further along the time line (especially post-WWII), and particularly in the collective West, there was the establishment of the global central banking network and the move to paper fiat currency. I doubt there's any need for me to continue on that thread as my guess is you're aware of all that. And for brevity I've left out other key points of history, before and after, but, I digress. I'm an old codger compared to Tim, at 40+ years his senior. His unfamiliarity with the precious metals tells me that the U.S. education model has infected much (if not all) of Europe. I could easily add much more, but again, my guess is you're already quite familiar with anything else I might add.

The gold is really the difference is that in Arab countries we sell 24 c bars and 22 and 21 c gold jewelry that’s why it’s shiny In other countries they have 14 and 18 c it’s not good gold

Bahrain has human rights issues: like most of the middle eastern countries. The human rights situation in Bahrain remained dire in 2019. Authorities have banned all independent media from operating in the country, dissolved all opposition groups, and cracked down on critical online posts. The government executed three people in July, including two prisoners who were convicted in a mass trial marred by serious due process violations and allegations of torture.
