Tournament fishing.....nothing like it!!! Thanks for sharing Greg. That was the perfect way to start my week. The entire measuring thing I am not entirely in favor of. In the Plastic Navy tournament trail we had live wells. That helped in that the old rocket-launched bass rarely occurred. However my brother did have a six pounder come flying out of the live well the moment he placed it there. He still had the net in his other hand and quick thinking averted the disaster of loosing that fish. He netted it!!! For the second time!!!! Take care bud!!

thanks Angel! I hear ya. It's crazy to think back when we did 3 fish limit kayak tournaments someone could catch THREE 14 inch bass for 42'' that maybe go 4 pounds and someone else could catch TWO bass at 20' for 40'' that are probably 9-10 pounds total and still lose to the first guy!

Without much cover for holding fish on McClure, but boat traffic often creates one of the best mid day patterns ..once the mudline forms. I typically follow the contour of the shoreline/cliffs with a rip bait or spinnerbait (w/trailer hook) and quickly work thru the mudline.. Good way to fill out a limit..

Like what you said man, theres nothing to lose, and with that mindset you just have to hakuna matata the day. I still think its a good day catching a limit on tournaments; definitely your objectives second would be culling and winning. This longer videos on tournament day is good! Greg my Man, 46 min yasss just want to come through showing the love and support. Way to grind it out to very end my friend, tough tough body of water. No worries you always take every fishing trip as a lesson learn though I know. So we’ll regroup take what we learned and come back and put together a nice bag and hopefully come away with the W. Nice work All is good thought Dark Horse in the buildin, silent but deadly guy is right. Notice that Alden didn’t start out with the best boat/ gear but he made it work and has sense upgraded himself so so much. I’ve notice you are the guy give everybody a run for their money during tournament derby. Well done and Congrats Alden believe me I see you. #DarkHorse Mike missed you on this one but Happy Birthday to your son Andy. Did I mention 46 min🤙🏿

Greg, I am going to be fishing Amador on July 31st from 7pm - 1am night tournament. It will be a 90% moon. Fishing from 7pm to 9pm what baits would you be throwing and colors in a very clear water lake this time of year? Shad colors, PB&J jigs? Buzz baits... I was planning on 5 rods, fishing a buzz bait, and jitterbug and PB&J jig before dark, and then dragging 10" power worm brass and glass off the bottom, also fishing a black buzz bait/ Jackhammer black chatter bait shallow to pick up some bass that will feed up later in the night. I have never fished a night tournament as a non-boater, this will be my first... Your suggestions would be most appreciated. I believe you have fished Amador before; correct? likely many times....
