This is all I needed to see and hear to stop playing all, but maybe one account. And even that’s a stretch at this point. By eliminating the minis, they are eliminating players. Poor move by PD. I’ve complained to PD about no 9-hole minis. I can’t play 45-hole tournaments every week.

God awful. PD is trying to burn out players. I loved the 9-hole tournaments in-between because I didn't have to play so much and take a break and now it seems more like a job than having fun. The only people benefitting from this is PD and their bottom line. It's making people use more paid balls, which means players have to replenish their stock, but then they give us crappy choices for ball releases. Always appreciate these news releases, Ben. I liked the addition of the cat; maybe you should make him a permanent co-host!

If they are taking away 9 hole minis altogether and replacing with 18 hole tournaments for the future I will no longer be playing the game. It’s way to time consuming. Thanks Ben

Not giving us mini tournaments also screws this (only slightly above) average player out of my only chance to make the finals at the Master level. Every time that I attempt a major tournament at Master level, I make it to the opening round, where I am infallibly eliminated.

This really is getting ridiculous. I do like this course with a tailwind only modifier, but I will be refusing to play every other tournament now that PD has screwed us out of the minis. I'm just not going to play 45 holes every week.

Don’t really mind the longer tourneys… need the practice offered by playing full 9 holes 5 days in a row, and prizes are much better. Would make sense to end a season with a Mini so the clan pnts count in that season, and allows for more focus on CPC for accts that need it. Love the kitty Ben!!! My wife and I have 2 cats as well. For the last 3 years I've been reluctant to embrace or support most of the changes in the game, but to be fair almost all turned out to be brilliant in terms of making the game work for legacy players competing against people that are relatively (or completely) new to the game. For the moment, I agree with the comments made. The run of 18-hole tournaments has been brutal and not fun in any way as a player with multiple accounts, And, as a leader of a 20-clan team it's just inconceivably maddening to have such a major shuffling to the standard schedule for a season. As I commented last week, it's easy to be upset with PD but I am trying to hold off. Not sure this is a money grab. For 4 years I've been asking PD to publish a 4-week schedule at the beginning of each season to allow clans the ability to strategize their players and resources in the context of upcoming tournaments, CPC, etc. That is the 1 thing that would make this all so much easier is the absolute minimum amount of communication. Oh well. Ben, you are an absolute treasure and I appreciate you so very, very much! Cheers, Matt PS - I live in California and as tired as the Juniper Point and Santa Ventura courses are, the scenery designed into these holes is marvelous and never gets old to look at.

Let's say what this is truly.... GREED ON BEHALF of PD and EA. They probably have seen the numbers and realize that hardcore players spend and use more special balls in MAIN tournaments. Simply put, 9-hole tournaments doesn't please the Finance Team at PD/EA

Just a money grab. They can release more golf balls that way. Thats why they are switching the ball stats format to allow for a lot more combinations of golf balls they can release. I myself will only be playing every other week from here on out. I looked forward to that 3 day break before the 9 hole cup started.
