ZeRo has gotten so good at just waiting. Waiting and baiting decisive defensive options from Nairo cost Nairo a ton of percent this set, especially game one. Such great mindgames this set.

He's always played like this, which is why he's so good. He's a really optimal player, that's why you never see him go for anything too risky besides 50/50 reads or mixups in the neutral that can't be punished too hard if avoided

To be fair, I don't think ZeRo will have many close calls with Nairo. The Diddy-ZZS MU is 60-40 in diddy's favor, so unless Nairo gets a secondary or Zero for some reason decides to use Sheik, those 2015 hype matches are unlikely to be back :(

Nairo choked and ZeRo knows how to play against Nairo. ZeRo played against Nairo and beat him harder than anyone else after he came back from his injury. The MU also sucks Nairo also apologized a few minutes afterwards. Young Nairo used to get salty and upset after losing, and Nairo (current) hates his young self because of that.

Yeah, it just felt like Nairo was aggravated, and didn't have any response to literally giving neutral away to Zero. He was on the edge/platforms the entire time and waiting... but so was Zero. He needs a hard counter to that Diddy. Not an easy feat.

This is the only tournament where nairo gets so gravitated that you can clearly see he is playing dumb aggressive than his usual more methodical aggression. I"m sure Dbuz watched this and wrote "' Make nairo angry and he loses" 15 font size and bold on a single page.

Yeah Zero had this one hands down. This is the way I see it, Nairo is a high risk/high reward player. He gets an opening during rush-down and opens up on them when they mess up. In this match, Zero played very safe and didn't use many risky moves. He played according to frame data to reduce or barely have any lag after attacking and then just tacked on damage until he got a down-tilt, aerial, or banana confirm for the kill. Zero completely countered Nairo's playstyle, and thus got the win. As far as the character match-up is concerned, Zero has got it figured out. Nairo will have to figure out new mix-ups and/or pick another character to play against Zero's Diddy. Regardless, good job to both players in finals and congrats to Zero. Both are awesome players.

Nairo needs to keep a cooler head, then he'd be fine. ZeRo has obviously gotten HEAPS better at that, but Nairo needs to learn it. Honestly, even though ZSS is a rushdown, it is possible to play her slightly more defensive. Paralyser, Zair, Retreating Flip Kick, even side-b for clutch zoning.

Zero made so many quality reads in this, but the damage rewarded by those reads is just not enough... It only takes two successful reads by Nairo's ZSS to make up the cabbage for Diddy's six.

im sorry i really don't see much bias even after rematching the match. I feel like they were more so going over the dynamic of the match and how zss could bring it back any second. if you could point out any specific bias i might agree with you but they complimented both player during the set.

There is obvious bias. When Zero took out 1 of Nairo's stocks you can actually here them say "NO!!". They were rooting for Nairo, it's pretty clear. I also found it a bit unfair how they were attributing the game to Nairo making mistakes, and less of Zero making the right choices.

Yeah, that was part of what I found annoying. And also the commentator was trying to predict what Zero or Nairo were going to do next, instead of focusing in the moment, and when it happened he was like: see! I told you I was right! Over and over. But still is not a great deal. Just be professional, parcial, explain what its happening in the present, keep your cool and you will be a good commentator. Remember it is not about you, it is about giving narrative to the battle and elaborate on specific moments with technical knowledge.
