Hi. My mother migrated from England to Broken Hill with her parents at the age of 11 in 1921. Her father passed away in Broken Hill in 1925. He contracted peritonitis. He did work in the mine for a while. In 2012 we went to Broken Hill and we found his grave. It does not have any markings on it. We loved it up there. We went to the places you have in this video plus a few more. We hope to go back there again and look for more things. My wife is a Kidman bit I have not been able to link her to Sir Sidney yet. interesting so many more could have been added to this list, RFDS visitor Experience which is ranked Number 1 attraction in broken Hill on trip advisor, Day Dream Mine Tour, The Geo centre, silverton goal and museum, Broken Hill regional art Gallery, many art galleries, just to name a few

I was born there in the 1940's, therefore a teenager in the 1960's. No, I don't love the place. This was not a town for a young woman with ambition apart from marriage and children, which was encouraged by my family. Glad I left, glad achieved my degree and my dreams
