Anyone for outback Aussie adventure? Best known for its pub and bakery of the same name, a visit to the remote Queensland town of Birdsville is a rite of passage for Australian campers and caravaners. Each year this far flung outpost hosts the Birdsville Races and the Big Red Bash music festival, and is also the most northerly point of the epic Birdsville Track (which stretches south to Maree in South Australia).

Thanks for this great video, Adam. Wish I'd seen it before heading home Down Under from Canada this past August. At least I made it to Winton & Longreach. Hoping to come back next year when I MUST visit Birdsville - couldn't find a connecting flight or any transportation to get there this time

Hi Glenda. Thank you for the lovely feedback. Yes, you must! Birdsville encapsulates outback life like few other destinations (although we do also love Longreach). There are what they call 'milk run' flights (they stop at various outback destinations en route) from Brisbane to Birdsville twice a week with Rex. Regards, Adam
