Why is it that in the top 10 mens singles players 9 out of 10 of them use a towel grip, only shi yu qi doesnt. However in the top 10 mens doubles pairs, hiroyuki endo is the only player to use a towel grip. In this video I will be going over if there are any advantages or disdvantages to a towel and overgrip in Badminton.

I love how the overgrip feel in my hands, but my hand sweat a lot when playing so towelgrip help me in absorbing my sweat. So may i have towelgrip absoption with overgrip feeling🤣🤣🤣

Rubber grip absorbs the racket's vibration better than towel grip. Thus, less pain on your hand. I switched to rubber grip years ago and never look back since then.

hi. Thanks for putting into words what i actually assume all along hahaha. generally though, i guess service feel for me is veryvery marginal, and i think what matters more for me would be the addressing for the sweat. also u forgot to mention one very important part. towels may tend to be heavier, and actuallyis heavier than PU grips. this allows it to be more suitable for a less paced game. therefore, we so many PU grips for doubles because it is indeed lighter. ther rest of the points u tackled are no less logical though. :)

Ahhh yes, I have actually tested the weight difference and that's actually so true! The grip affects the balance of your racket slightly because of the weight. Thank you for your comment :)

Hi, i personally feels that a thicker grip produce power better than a thinner grip...or is it just me? haha, nice info sharing anyway !!
@BadmintonAnalysis
@BadmintonAnalysis 3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha yeah, I know what you mean. It comes down to personal preference really, having a grip which is too thin could make you produce less power than a thicker grip. It also depends on how you use your finger power when you play a shot. Thank you and thanks for your comment :)

I dont know why but i feel a slightly thick grip is insane for me i cam generate insane power with it.
@icedlemontea6042
@icedlemontea6042 2 жыл бұрын
Well for me, it's like imagine being able to completely close your hand grip vs close your hand grip by half. Completely closing my grip would generate more power, so im comfortable with thinner grip since i have small hand. While if you have big hand, then thicker grip would be better since you dont have to overlap your fingers to your palm grip

Its depends on the person’s personal preference…as for me I’m using yonex ac120ex overgrip eventhough im playing mainly in singles…it because that overgrip help me handles my racket better compared to towel grip as I had some difficulty to hold my racket using towel grip…when Im using towel grip I always have a tendency to change the grip because it doesn’t felt the same after using it for a few sessions…so that’s why im using overgrip until now because it can last longer compared to towel grip and overgrip is cheaper than towel grip
