Helmet cam or body cam? Very distracting to try to follow.

From approx 5:15 thru 5:55, firefighters standing in front of fire with a charged hose line, doing nothing but standing around. Someone on radio directing the tactics is wasting time. He probably is not even watching the event.

What the hell were they doing? In a hurry to get to fire just to watch it burn down? 👎

really no reson to vent at this point, but in any event bad placement of the roof vent, need to vent directly above the fire, venting at the rear of the house only draws the fire to it,

Isn't the same true for HEAVY PRESSURE being applied at the TOP END of the fire, that it ( sometimes ) actually BLOWS FLAMES BACK AT fuel creating more work AND DANGER TO FIGHTERS? Just asking - not on you guys level!!!!

LOL! Did you see any drugs, Rodney? No? Did any money change hands? No? But you saw somebody with black skin counting money, so it MUST be a drug buy, right? Nice stereotype, Mr. Bigot.

Place is going to the dump. Only fools would go on the roof to vent.

Let it burn, let it burn, let it burn! If you pulled up and hit that fire with your deck gun for 15 seconds, the threat would have been stopped and you could have mopped up with a hose. No roof venting necessary. The Stupidity of roof venting in action! Standing around watching the house burn is pure ignorance. Yes, you will be hearing a lot from me.

It should have been knocked down in 3-5 minutes tops.

Dave Toussaint You are on the right track but think about what the Deck Gun would have done to that fire. The vast majority of the burning material is visible. The Deck Gun is the fastest and largest volume water a fire department has. Think of a trained operator and count out 5 seconds. That building would have been drenched and they could have had it moped up in 1-2 minute, Tops. I'm talking about a department that cares. One that thinks, "This is My House! All my stuff is in there and I have no insurance!"

I agree with you. Oh I'm a big deck gun advocate, too many are scared to use it.

Dave Toussaint It only makes sense. If you can see what's burning, the deck gun is the fastest and highest volume water you have. To ;let a fire burn for one second longer than it has to is criminal negligence. Every fire fighter should think, "This is my house. That is my stuff burning." Then, the Deck Gun would see a lot more use. Too many fire fighters want to Play with their hose.

My dad taught me that the first water on the fire in the fastest manner is always a winner. Or every second you delay getting water on the fire you making your job that much harder. And we want to work smarter not harder.
