It's truly fascinating watching these come together. I'm also enjoying your art style; some of my favourite movies are Scandinavian silent films, from the 1920s and 30s, and these put me in mind of those. Even the music reminds if them. Really liking these

There's a TV channel, Turner Classic Movies (TCM), where they often show silent films. That is where I've seen most of mine. I do not recall any specific titles. Apologies. A Google search, of "turner classic movies danish silent film", is a good place to start

This is fantastic! What is that machine you use to cut the wood panels for the sides of the board?

I will try using wood stain on the plywood for the “side covers” like those you use on the sides here. But that means I can’t use filler as well, will you paint them and how?

Sounds good - it would look really nice! But with the wood stain all the retouching (with wall filler and if you want use screws, nails etc) will be visible... It would work perfectly for a small (diorama-style) pieces where you can add side covers afterwards. I will just spray paint the sides black.
