People aren't neglecting gear. Its just that as f2p you're lucky if you even get 1 or 2 gold pieces a week, even then the stats are probably garbage. Dont even get into the fact that boosters are very limited to buy from the dust shop and the only other way to get them is to play bygone phantasm....which needs good gear to progress!

Agree. The thing is we do care about gears, it's just that the game doesn't give them as easily as if whales swipe their credit cards. You need cs to get good gear easily but you need good gear in the first place to EVEN do the mission to gain good gear... now you tell me how do i progress in this game

Well im f2p and I'm at Bygone 150 with my f2p Volt Team. And Bygone 120 with my f2p Ice team. My Ice team only has 2 gold gears but I still made it to Bygone 120 as f2p. It's a skill issue by now is f2p can't even clear floor 100, I see a lot of f2p who don't use their relics in bygone. The game gives you a free SSR Hologram relic, that boosts your dmg in bygone you just need to strategize like grouping the enemies before using it then swap relic page right away coz it has a high cooldown.

Upgrade first your purple gears, progress yourself in bygone so you at least can help other to complete joint operation. You are so afraid on losing little exp over transition puple to gold that you wont even advance them properly. Always wait for perfect gear. Then, when you get gold with perfect gear, you brag. the problems lies on the fact that people directly tie level to CS, in which is wrong. Level only gives a little boost to CS but it unlocks content you can take advantage of in the future. Wormhole for example. if you are level 60 by the end of the reset, it gives extra 200 gold currency by the end of the week so you get 400+ instead of just 200+, and you dont even need to finish the third one. also, you may be level 60 but you get the worst rolls on your gear, or you may be 54-56 but you have perfect rolls on your equipment. its more dependent on luck and having a multitude of avenues in which you can increase your odds obtaining gold gears.

This is just a minor issue. The higher lvl you are the more materials you get. Your vitality is worth more. If you want to do content for 20k+ cs with 10k cs that is not the exp boosts faults but your own.

The thing about Joint OP and Frontier Clash is that, many people are willing to help and there are also those asking for help for the Joint OP and Frontier Clash. But also in the same time, there were also people that "tends" to ignore the "cooperative" side in this kind of mode. I, at first, just wanna have fun playing this game, ignoring CS and exploring the maps, but because my level keeps going up which also affecting my fun, in this case the mobs and boss monsters keeps getting stronger. I decided to be a support aka healer and CC (lucky i got Coco A1 and Zero A1) with 12k CS. I stuck at Joint OP 4 for a week, and decided to go to Joint OP 6, focusing on just healing. I'm not trying to be a burden, i learn the mechanics of the bosses, i heal when necessary (not just spamming the heal), and i keep my range with the boss and the team's members so i can revive the one who's dying and aiding them who's low on health. But there's always those people that "why you don't heal? i'm dying here" said the dude who i activated my heal for them yet they run away somewhere ignoring the heal, like bro? I know you want to clear it fast, and i do know hitting with big numbers are fun, but like, really? If you want to do things only by your "terms and conditions", you can do it by yourself, maybe you're a whale or maybe you're just really good at the game. And yeah, i managed to be a decent healer in Joint OP 6 with 12k CS with 3 decent DPSs around 22-24kish CS.

Healing in this game feels weird as f... I have huge Respec for people trying to heal in this game. I tried it a couple of times and i didn't like it at all.

I'm also running healer in JO / FC / VR with Coco 1* and Nemesis 0* (I'm F2P and it took me the full 120 wishes to get her). Super annoying with people who run away from you with low health before your animation can finish. Thankfully I've never been flamed for it at least. I had the same idea as you, since I'm not able to get as high CS as a whale I'm better off being a low CS healer, which still works thankfully, besides all whales are going to be matching up as DPS giving you double the chance of meeting a whale as a healer or tank. Granted, sometimes the matchmaker will throw a bunch of DPS together but I feel like most times it manages to get the 1/2/1 ratio correct. If you have bad luck and get paired up with clueless DPS people there's nothing you can do, I've had 8-10 million healing and still wiped on JO 6.

Being a healer is dirty work, but someone's got to do it. I am doing healing too at the moment. So far, no one has given me a hard time. At least it lets you get into higher-end content without feeling too bad, since there's no way you can compete with the DPS people at their role.

@@bjornnilsson2941 Nemesis S0 has no real heals. You need Nemesis S1 so she gets healing. S1 if is she Dashes she gets a Healing aura. The Pilon don't heals is only increase the dash healing of the s1.

You kind of do, since the higher CS you get the more you can upgrade your Suppressor, hence raising your attack, crit, hp and resistances by A LOT. I'm rank 1 on Floor 299 with 47000 CS at the moment. I think the last threshold was 45000, when I pushed past that and was able to upgrade the Suppressor to 6.3, 10-15+ floors extra was no problem.

I have 2 inches left on his HP bar when time runs out so I could probably get past it if I tried a few more times. haha I need 1 more shard to get my Couant to rank 2 for a little damage boost too that should help. The original statement might be true for lower levels. But there is nobody ranked above me on my server with a lower CS. sure if you're a casual player just going with the flow not researching or have used up everything from day 1, but I can guarantee there is no f2p out there who knows what they're doing still at 20k cs at level 60. Some hit 30k cs and those that had no luck with stars on their main weapon or crappy matrices pulls will probably be hovering 25-27k cs right now.

TOF community is really helpful. The whales do not care that much. As long as you survive, just in case they get combo'd, you can revive them. The community knows that this is equipment based game and RNG. I have been getting Leggos but the sub stats are just resistance and HP. My guild mates and random friends help. Just do not be that person to leave joint ops cuz you didnt get an op team.

There's a good chance you might not read this but hopefully you do. First, I do agree with you mostly on the mentality of why players should take advantage of whales and trying to cooperate with them, but there are a few good reasons as to why a lot of the time a lot of players hesitate to ask for help, do joint operations, or even frontier hard mode with random whales. These reasons appy to a lot of other MMO games and It's not uncommon but it mainly has to do with them either being intimidated by these whales and them not wanting to be a burden to their parties. As you can see, frontier hard mode is quite difficult and entrance keys are not refunded once people die and leave the party. People would want to make sure they have people in their party who knows what they are doing as well as knowing what their specific roles are(Healer, tank, etc). Many people feel they are not ready to do such hard content yet and would prefer to boost their gears and know what to expect before jumping into them. When it comes to things like joint operations, having whales carrying you is 1 thing, but when more difficult content like raids, etc, come into the future, you will want to know what to expect and have the things ready for that content to be able to be a useful to your party and not to the point where you are leaching off of whales or causing the party to wipe.

As someone who only spent the 30 days Dark Crystal pass (5$), I am at 31k CS at level 57 so people yelling out that being a whale is the only way to boost CS is pure BS. They're just not playing the game properly and that is doing item progression. MOST players mindset right now is "I'm gonna start advancing my gear when I get gold gear" is WRONG . That's precisely why they can't even farm at level 50 Joint Operation to get gold gear and aren't able to climb Bygone Phantasm to get the enhancement gear materials. Purple items with decent stats should be advanced at least up to 3*. A player w/ 3 max level weapon and a full 3* purple gear should have enough CS to be able to farm gold gear on Joint Operation level 50 and try to farm those gold gears. They should be able to Bygone Phantasm to level 130 up to collect those enhancement materials to further upgrade those gears Another thing that players are afraid of doing is Developing/Enhancing Matrices. Don't neglect those purple Matrices. Even if you don't have a set, the raw stats they give is good enough until you get either a set for Purple or Gold Matrices. We're getting a lot of SR (Purple) Matrices by just progressing the story, suppressers and achievements. I have 5 SSR Matrices and all are level 50 w/ 3 of them not even a match and aren't activating the set effect but I still use them for the raw stats which gives me a lot of CS. My Purple Matrices are level 55 which are even higher than my SSR Matrices. If you have SR Matrices dupes lying around using them for advancement also boosts your CS a lot but this one is entirely up to you and I don't suggest it right now for F2P until Artificial Island is released. For weapons, pick 3 main SSR weapons and always MAX them out. STOP spending your vitality on anything else when you haven't even maxed out your main 3 weapons! If you're missing materials, go do Dimension Trials or 2*/3* Stargates until you've maxed them out. Stop spreading your weapon enhancement materials on multiple weapons, focus on your main 3 and those weapons should have your high level matrices equipped since you'll be using them to progress and farm gold gear. You can start maxing the rest of your weapons once you've maxed out your mains. Maxing out your main weapons should be a priority above everything else once you reach a point where you can level them out further since weapons are the easiest big CS and damage source you can find. Last is always try to push in Bygone Phantasm, a looooooooooooot of enhancement gear materials are found in Bygone Phantasm. Even just levelling up your character boosts your damage that even with no changes to your gear, levelling-up significantly gives a lot of progress in Bygone since the mobs inside aren't scaled to your level which means you can out level them on certain floors.

That's 2 modes out of 15 and PVP ain't even p2w like it is entirely possible to beat whales if you know what you are doing. Saying you can't win in PVP because you can't play the most META teams sounds like a skill issue. I know the top 10 players in PVP and all of them have been clapped by people running random ass teams who were just hella good. I know it's easy to blame it on people spending but it could be a lot worse, f2ps with exception to bygone has little to fear from whales.

@@EroticWalruss all top Pvp teams are meta lol, who pissed in your cereal. Coming off too cocky and rude for a youtuber trying to grow isn't going to take you too far brother. We don't have 6 hours to spend on the game daily to learn every small mechanic of it for just pvp. The F2P playerbase is a much extreme and smaller percentage on the other hand who are on the top leaderboards, like the ones with 1000s of hour on Chinese beta / or pertaining knowledge of it who optimized their energy usage from lvl 30-32. Also, most of your golden matrices come from joint ops runs which requires lots of vitality. A whale can just wish on event banner and get 4 matrices of each character giving them a huge edge. All top 100 people on leaderboard are heavy whales who are hundreds of floors above the next non 6* character player I can find. Bygone phantasm ranking is most of your gear equipment material (other than energy shop). And all of those modes are dependant on your character damage output whose materials you mostly get from phantasm.

Some 25K cs got yellow belt before I did when I bought at 59 XD F2P/Low spenders, keep up with the leveling to be playing with whales, early game is huge for y’all chasher from EP server!

Most important to note is that CS is a vague reference on your Accounts capabilities. If you run a full 6 Star team and you have 40k CS then you are technically way above a let's say 46k CS requirement in Joint Operation level 60+ and should not run into any issues on clearing it. If you are free to play with little to no luck you will run into problems doing this kind of content at level 60 even if you magically had higher than average CS for a free to play but a bad team comp. Also the Void Rift will be alot harder for you to complete after reaching level 60 and run with random teams that are mostly all 4 dps resonance. I suggest if you are free to play keep it calm and steady do not compare your CS with the CS of others - do not grind too high of a level too early if you are not having a good team and if you save your ressources for future pulls. Heavy buyers will have an easy time and can care less about reaching level 60,70 early. You should not follow their example and go slow enjoy the game and have an easier time by progressing your level slowly.

It’s not that people are misinformed. It’s that AT THIS POINT the easiest way to raise cs IS WHALING. And in the eyes for f2p getting stars, matrixes etc… is looked at as the easiest for due to the limited amount of gear that can be farmed without refresh vitality. And NO you can’t advance/upgrade your gear that easily as a f2p. I’m fully f2p at 198 on bygone and most of my gear is lol 15 max, I have a few at 14. The amount of extra levels you can get for your equipment by spending on battle pass, etc… is crazy. Additionally higher cs player will be able to push higher bygones, MEANING they get HIGHER EQUIPMENT LEVELS. Additionally it’s difficult to level your weapons up as well. As of now I’m at 110/110/100 at lvl 60. Now I’m in the conundrum of spending vitality for weapon levels OR grind JOs for equipment. I’m prioritizing weapon levels because it’s A GARUNTEED UPGRADE. And I can get the missing gold gear form the commissary. Not hating on whales in the slightest here, I have a few friends that have whales and helped be through co-op content. Also I do agree with some of the stuff you said in this video but…. The amount of ignorance you showed in this video is baffling on certain things regarding gear and the choices we gotta make.

Everything you mentioned here I have videos helping people overcome them. I have f2ps who have followed every one of my guides sitting at 30K each of them while weapons are all 120 & level 60 matrix... There is a way if you want it. You say I am showing ignorance but I would like to say that right back at you. People who complain that the BEST WAY IS WHALING is not wrong, but to say THE ONLY WAY IS WHALING is plain denial. It would seem that for the most part people don't want to put in work to learn and improve. Rather we are so hung up on what others have that I don't. Advancing gear is not the same as enhancing your gear. Most of the people that argue with me about this don't even have these two features figured out yet. Enhanced gear can be transferred when you switch while advanced gear cannot. For advanced gear you lose 20% of the exp put into them. Currently f2ps for whatever reason believe that they should not advance their gear until they get legendaries. Well newsflash, you better have a group of whales to carry you through content or risk getting stuck. The only players who will be stuck right now are those who started the game late and ended up getting boosted to a high level without the resources from day 1. If you started playing since launch and are stuck at level 58 with 15,000CS.... You messed up big time and it's no one's fault but your own that you're stuck. Everything you need to succeed is out there and you chose NOT to use it. I mean, it's one thing to play the game how you want but it's another to fail and then go online to tell others that it's impossible because YOU failed. I'm not saying F2P = Whales. But F2Ps definitely have their own way to succeed in this game and it starts with not being greedy with the limited resources they have. Just like in real life you need to spend to earn. Invest in yourself and you will yield better results. ADVANCE YOUR GEARS!!!! Stop hoarding onto a bunch of equipment thinking you are being "optimal" you are only hurting yourself in terms of progress.

@@EroticWalruss I guess we just don’t see eye to eye on the subject. While I do appreciate that you actually read my comment and responded to it I still disagree because of the randomness of rng. I myself got lucky with matrixes and was able to get a 2pc king and 2 pc coco for the correct spots. Upgrading those srs along with advancements from dupes have gotten me to 28,900 sr. I have fallen a little short because the last 2 weeks I was focusing on PvP to get grand marshal. But I was lucky nonetheless. The same can’t be said to for a few of my friends who have been absolutely railed by the rng though. Getting ssr and sr matrixes in the wrong spots so they can’t complete sets, or can’t even upgrade due to lack or resources. The battle pass alone solves all of the issues regarding upgrades. Probably the best purchase we can make on the game at this point. To reiterate I’m not hating on whales or people that chose to spend. I’ve chosen to stay f2p on this game by choice because of Genshin (won’t go into detail). In short most people aren’t gonna be able perfectly do everything to attain 30k+ at this point. Some of it might be early game decisions, they might be saving black gold for limited units being released to standard banner, etc….. And again I appreciate you responding to and reading my comment but I still disagree with some things you stated.

I've been playing mmorpg a lot on the past (I dont want to mentioned all) and this is what I learned. Dont starting to get jealous when the other guy have lot of damage than you and say that "he's a whale I can't compete on that" . That's his money and you cant do anything with that, everyone have its own potential be positive make a way to make the game enjoyable this is not competition like he said. At first I would hoard resources and not boost my sub-optimal matrices and gear thinking I was being wise, but I can now see that you gatta boost your best gear at the time to keep up with the CS curve. Otherwise you’ll get left behind with some resources but you’ll be soft locked out of content and eventually lose out on opportunities.

I am f2p. I work 40hrs a week. I just hit lvl 58 yesterday, as well as 23k cs. I have 4:4 gold and purple gear. None of them are really worth upgrading yet but I will look into that once all gear is gold. I saved and got lucky for s1 frigg. Got lucky off pity and got s3 myrl. And 1s coco, that's my mono ice balance team. I also use crow jetpack with frigg and myrl for dps team. Also have s1 zero for healing team with coco. I have s0 Tsubasa and s0 Shiro not built.

to be honest, i have 0 star frigg, 0 star nem and 0 star meryl with my current team. i am currently at 29272 cs i have every ssr gear piece besides head and waist i got quite lucky. and i have only bought the battle pass. its a gacha game, if u dont get lucky (or spend money) ur gonna be behind. thats how its supposed to work. eventually you will catch up but will never be on par with whales but it doesnt mean you cant do what whales can do, just at a slower pace.

People who are like why the movement of tof feels a lil laggy cause its more like an mmo the server ticks update the position soo its not like genshin where it is only rendering your world, secondly remember genshins 4 man only co op seems soo buggy?? (players clipping in out etc lol) they are stuggling with 4 man imagine over 30 at a time, and lastly tof was made in like ue4 soo it has the most room for improvement while genshins on the unity(ue4 is fundamentally more stable as an engine than unity), soo its like genshin is optimised to the roof and cannot be more smoother but fundamentally tof can be smoother if they like optimize it really hard which i hope they do

I'm a very low spender only having spent like 30 dollars on the game since launch max. I got super lucky at the start and rolled c3 coco, c2 King, c2 meryl (soon to be 3) c1 tsubasa and was smart enough to save for frigg and got her to finish up a nice balanced ice team with the choice to get some fire and go pure dps if needed. I got level 60 today, for matrices Frigg is level 120 and has pepper, meryl is 110 and has frostbot and coco is 100 with echo and all have a random gold in the other slot all at 55. I cannot for the life of me get gear I need atm, I have 2 pieces of gold and I'm trying to not star up my purples too much and waste all my resources on them. I do 2-3 joint ops runs and rift runs I can a day depending on my avaliablitiy and I am stuck at around 25kCS right now. It's difficult to push past that without getting wrecked but ima just keep trying 🙃 I've got copium that the update on the 15th will give me enough pulls to get c1 frigg before she disappears 😂

"Yes spending does help but..." there is no but - you pay for progress and it helps ALOT it makes a huge massive difference if you got a 40k CS 0 star nemesis or a 6 star 40k CS nemesis from a f2p player - you cannot say "oh my dudes are "only" 19k cs right now - but you can be super strong if you dont whale" nah you cannot...you could never in no circumstances outdps a whale even if you had same CS and stats - gear upgrades your CS yes but stars are heavily upgrading your damage....if we look at frigg right now a 0 star frigg is a joke dps compared to a 6 star one even if you wear same gear ... you cannot tell a f2p player "hey you can be as "good" as me by just looking at your gear" its a no brainer that you increase dmg if you increase your attack stats but you can in no way upgrade your skill % skill additions etc that also scale off gear as a f2p - even a 50k CS player who has 0 star characters will struggle on content a 6 star limited character whale with 45k cs would laugh at and does not even sweat saying "oh thats easy" - you cant clear content with a 3 star meryl and a 0 star frigg + fully geared (f2p prob have aorund 2-3 gold equip that might ahve good atk stats and around 25-28k cs) that a 6 star meryl and 6 star frigg could clear naked with no equip (just matrices and upgrades and prob 22k-24k cs) also one of the most important things ppl tend to forget: paying players get relics way way way easier and faster than none paying ones and these relics make a HUGE insanely huge difference in terms of dps output where f2p will struggle for the next months (itll all get relatively even in prob a year unless global releases insane power creep characters that swipe the floor with old releases) so to sum it all up - the CS you can get as a f2p doesn matter or weight that much cause you wont improve by much and gonna have a slow progression in terms of "increasing your dps" until you 6 star your first limited character (lin insanely broken so thats prob the first one most ppl gonna save up for) and the msot important thing isnt your gear its 1. the team you choose and 2nd wich relics you ugprade first as a dolphin or f2p with the limited resources you have

I was addressing the comment where the person states f2ps cannot reach 30k as of now. There is a misconception where players are refusing to advance their purple gear for whatever reason. Give me one good reason why f2p should keep all purple gear at 0*? Everyone had to go through those breakpoints. Advancing your gear to gain more power to clear content is a must for anyone regardless if you are a whale or f2p. I never argued that f2p can be equals to whales either. I was purely addressing the CS issue. Weapon stars scale a lot of damage through advancement effects however that's not the point of the video. Raw stats is something attainable by EVERYONE in the game so long as they know what they are doing. Weapon advancements on the other hand isn't. Why should I even waste time telling people that when 90% of the people watching can't even hope to attain it. I also never said "you can be as good as me by looking at your gear". I'm saying, people are severely underestimating how much power is locked behind their gear. In my streams as well as people dming me. MOST of them never even touched gear enhancements & advancements. I can safely say most people are sitting on 7-8K worth of CS upgrades just from gear. Which for f2p is A LOT. The video is not about flexing as a whale or shaming f2p. It's aimed to highlight a gap in people's judgment and show them there are ways other than spending, albeit less effective but still useful nonetheless. We shouldn't aim to dishearten people's hard work but to encourage consistent effort for improvement. In this just as you point out, there are ways to rival whales if you pick up the right weapons/teams.

@@Bob-qu4wc it does affect any f2p player progress if there are whales out there what do you mean? theres a leaderboard for bygone phantasm and the difference in gold dust 21+ to rank 1-3 is actually alot - same as the "branches" inside the phantasm are actually a huge gold dust difference - no f2p in the world can compete with whales for the gold dust progression - whales will always have an advantage later on as well cause they can build 2-3-4 different element teams while a f2p can only focus on one and is sometimes locked out from weekly content because of the resistence....i have a f2p and a dolphin account and the progression on my dolphin account is actually insane compared to my f2p one.....my 3 star frigg + 5 star meryl and 4 star huma (tank resonance ftw actually can break the shields on frontier bosses easily - otherwise i use tsubasa for solo pushing or wormhole) are demolishing content while my f2p account is struggling insanely hard and doesn even get 1/3 of the progression on equip my dolphin account is getting.....while every piece of equipment on my dolphin account improves the dps output also alot more than on my f2p (running a 4 star king on that a random 1 star samir and 2 star tsubasa) because it simply scales alot higher than my f2p account - i got my battlepass free relic choice on it wich makes bygone alot easier for me - i dont struggle with gold because of the daily pack (money) - i got nice matrice sets wich scale off equipment even more so every higher atk stats on my equip actually increase my dps output by at least twice the amount than my f2p account...so 500 atk higher on my dolphin is actually weighting alot more than on my f2p....while on my f2p i can only dream of getting golden gear as quick as on my dolphin account...same as "equipment fodder" my dolphin gets prob 3 times or even more the amount of fodder my f2p account got in the same time (well i was lazy on my f2p bygone phantasm and only played till stage 100 so mightve been a little higher but still nothing compared to my dolphin) also i get teams for frontier way easier with 5.5+ suppressor crew mates wich makes getting 4 chests a breeze and brain afk farming while my f2p wich actually got pretty lucky in purple gear (got a couple pieces with atk and the element i want wich is fire) can only dream of chest 3 - and no getting "5k cs higher" wont get me anywhere near that chest 3 unless all of that 5k cs go directly into crit/atk not to mention 4 simply because i cant work with the relics i have on my dolphin + not having a higher star broken limited banner character wich would increase the dps output by alot.... ----- what i suggest f2p can do - only upgrade your purple gloves then boots IF you have atk crit and elemental atk dont upgrade anything before gloves/boots and never dismantle the equip (the exp loss is alot if you do) also save up your purple dust only to BUY /gloves/boots with crit/atk/element atk and roll them accordingly - do not under any circumstances buy any other purple gears you only want gloves/boots with perfect stats first do not upgrade any other purples UNLESS you get atk/your element atk on them AND roll atk/element atk on your first roll AND those purples are no main atk stat equips (such as armor or belt) dont be greedy and save all other purples as fodder for golds the hp/resist doesn do anything for you right now - after you got your gloves/boots ready do not spend purple dust anymore keep it if you manage to grab 1200 gold dust the first you wanna buy are actually gloves unless you dropped them before your gold dust and unless you have purple gloves with high crit/atk before that - got crit atk and elemental atk on them? congratz youre done and can throw in all of your gloves and crystals to up them - if you dropped the gloves/boots or had good rolled purple gloves/boots replace any of your 0 star purples with atk main status first - after you got all of your golden gear with atk main status now finally buy copies of your golden gloves and pray for at least one atk stat and crit....if you dont get it dont roll wait patiently till you grab gloves with 1 crit 1 atk status then roll - if youre super patient wait for atk / ele atk / crit like you did on purples - dump in your copies of gloves and crystals till you can get the first two rolls - if that isnt crit or at least atk youll need a new pair of gloves dont waste further into them and spend gold dust on a new pair of those - if you got at least 2 crit rolls after 4/5 staring them you can continue focusing on your boots - if youre done with both focus on literally anything that you dropped till now with atk/ele atk and dont continue if your first roll was at least one of those my intention of commenting isnt to say "f2p should quit" wich is a nicely placed strawman by the uploader or "dont advance your purple gear at all" or "whales rule them all" its just to show people that a click bait video doesn always "make actual sense" in anything it contains (yes i call a worst mistakes you can make level 60 and beyond "guide" where the "guide" is even spreading false information a click bait - example: "lets say you have a belt piece and it has atk and crit rate" belts dont have crit rate some ppl might think it has and want to reroll crit onto now after watching a "guide" because they may think its actually all true what a youtube guide says because...its youtube right? no...idk how that statement belongs into a "guide" for f2p its not about getting 30k cs right now its about how efficiently they can progress if they do care about progression....one statement is true tho a 38k cs can do more dps than a 40k cs...as i put a perfect example on my first comment a f2p player who has 30k cs right now would in no world do as much dmg as a whale who goes naked on armor slots but has all of his dudes 6 star with totally 25k CS and his beefed up relics - he can potentially kill a boss 2 times faster than a f2p player even with 5k lower cs and not even considering the "has less base atk" part --- for a f2p its highly unlikely to get 30k CS that is also efficient right now in his progression hence why i have to call this video either a clickbait and/or misleading cause i dont see the guide here right now - another quote "yes i have spent alot but that is not even half of what my gear is giving me" wich again is misleading based on my examples above - just because the stars themself dont give as much CS (only the stat gain does but not the effects) doesn mean its "not even half as the gear gives" effectively hes currently sitting on 60k CS compared to a 30k CS f2p just the system doesn show those hidden CS numbers (the 60k is totally made up just to put an example here) a 6 star nemesis is godly and anybody who compared a 0 nemesis (wich a f2p might have been able to grab on average luck - or at most 1 star) will notice the "slight" difference....its not a 2k CS difference from the main stats the star upgrades give hell no....its WORLDS apart its an insanely huge dps gap we are talking about wich increases further the better gear he gets compared to the f2ps 0 or 1 star nemesis) also its highly unefficient for f2p to waste all of their black golds on standard banner characters early just to increase CS and dps output by a little...you assume f2p have to blow up all resources in order to hit 30k cs right now wich isn really what id guide them to do if they want to play efficient - if they only play for fun and dont care and just wanna max their fav character and enjoy the game then no guide will ever be needed for those anyway disclaimer: i am here to point out some wrong information or misleading comments made by the uploader not to bash whales/f2p/dolphins or any sort of players and give a more insight on the hidden "character CS" that is giving this insane boost f2p will not experience till they stock up enough to grab a 6 star character wich gonna be their main dps source of their team while grabbing a 0/1 star limited character along the way (like frigg is actually a good 0 star character and makes frost teams an excellent choice for f2p players 0 star frigg 6 star meryl and 6 star linye is an insanely powerful f2p combo and youre actually able to achieve this as a f2p player while also being able to upgrade frigg later on the road without blowing your reds and just trading her in the standard weapon shop - assuming global follows that line)

0:15 minute mark : that commenter is beyond noob 😆 do you even realize that you can get carried by whale? (or low spender with 30k CS) frontier? joint operation? you just need ONE person to carry and kill anything, you stay support or tank or filler or whatever. i even used ene's SR hammer for tank resonance that does absolutely no damage compared to these whales but helps shattering shield. yes my regular teammates is all f2p we cannot even clear chiron the centaur for this week 2nd frontier boss without a carry. there is BIG difference between f2p who can play the game properly and literal noob.

You just need crow for wormhole he still shreds through 50% reduction he is your single target and boss killer whenever jetpack is usable he does like 2-3x samir single target damage. Managed to clear the last one with crow and could'nt with king despite the fire bonus.

Crow's still usable in Bygone too. His aerial attack 4th normal just eats up a lot of HP and its pretty quick combo unlike King, for example, a which gets interrupted way too easily. You just need to do positioning right. The only trouble I've ever had is with those steel dogs. The lizards are easy, but the steel dogs like to do this stupid back step after you break their shields and get out of my AoE.

When ur unlucky, even gear cant boost ur cs. Im doing joint ops 6, 8/10 times im getting blue gear. So far ive only had 1 gold gear drop. 2 from getting carried in frontier hard and 1 i bought with crystal dust. 3/4 of my gold gear is all garbage rolls and the last one is barely decent.

I guess there's a lot of thing to understand. Also, I didn't math it out, but it doesn't feel like you lose much experience from feeding lower lvl gear into higher lvl one. I believe, as you said, that too many people are refraining from leveling their gear/matrices, even SR ones. And there's the question of precise investment. I didn't spend on the game yet, I still have a A1 Frigg, maxed out Meryl and all the banner SSR, some with Ascension, ALL of it from in game currency, so I don't think we can really blame it all on wales as of yet.

Just because you got lucky with your pulls doesn't mean everybody else is swimming in ssr weapons right now. I made it to 2 star Meryl and 3 star Crow (black gold) and am still catching up in cs pretty well for now, however my friend who has had more luck than me got one of each SSR and then a 1 star huma and tsubasa, yet I am well off and he's struggling.

Gear is also whaled. Further you can get in bygone the more you can level it. Also whales buy vitality to run more joints therefore getting more gear to level with and use.

I was aiming earlier for a good legguards in the deepsea joint op, and instead i got crow matrice, i wasnt mad but all im missing for my equipment now is a good fortress helmet, belt and legguards, im currently on 29k cs since i only have them at 2 stars and at upgrd 12+ which is quite low, im mostly aiming for physical instead of frost or volt, since im going claudia, lyra, lin (in the future) as of now im running shiro (cuz she loves me so much I GOT HER 4TIMES ON STANDARD GOLD PULLS) tsubasa (got her 3 times in black nuc) huma (bcuz she is my utility and she is quite decent at getting charge and shattering, she also does decent damage, doing 50-60k with crit) my stats on equipment is in frost phys fire, both frost phys is in 6-7k while fire is on 8k (which is why my huma mostly is my go to/utility) my crit is a bit low only on 4k (i need atleast 6k D: not lucky with equipment stats)

Sorry but the CS for each star of the weapon gradually increases more than the first star. Like say the first star gives you 300 CS then the second star gives you 400 CS then the third gives you 600 CS and so on. Plus I'm saving my equipment advancements until I finally get a gold equipment. I only have purple equipment right now.

Well, the thing is you lose nothing but just opening the last chest. Even if this turns out to be not true... You would of only lost the time you spent running them. However if you open all the chests you will be losing something if this ends up proven to be true. So I'd say just open the last chest until more info comes out.

Ok, now I don’t know on what should I focus. Right now Im using Crow, Nemesis and Meryl but wanted to raise Coco to play as a healer when I need it on the future (Meryl, Coco, Nemesis). Should I keep focusing on my main team wich I wanted to use for solo pve content at the same time that I raise Coco for support or should I just focus on my support team even if that means that Bygone or other solo pve stuff could be harder for me? Also I want to change Meryl for Lin in the future and Im not really interested in other teams or characters so I will skip all banners that are not the general banner until that, is that really worth?

You can just advance your purple gear so you are actually of use. If you want gold equipment, you better prepare yourself for some mediocre gear pieces. It is also not recommended to spend your vitality on joint op.

Ruins alone can get you ~3 pieces United achievements can get you another 4 pieces. And you can get gold gear from FC hard 2 chest which is pretty easy to achieve. I’m just a monthly pass player ($5 spent) and I have a CS of 35k though I will say I have gotten lucky with weapons so I would say an average luck player would be around 30-32k CS RN

the problem is those who start late or don't do baygone early, they will lost a lot of enhance material (battery kind thing). that material are time gated, only from bygone and crystal dust shop only weekly. i'm at lvl 11-12 enhance equipment now, cant go up more have to wait next week, so now stuck at 22k. is there any other way to get those enhance material??

Weekly shop/events/the checklist book & wormhole chests to name a few. For the most part bygone is going to be your main source for them though. Furthermore, gear enhancement and gear advancement are two separate things. Check out my video for more info.

You don't get to say that low cs players neglects their gear when you have a 6 star weapon because it all differs from bygone phantasm and even the pass. I have upgraded my gear as much as I can but i still have 2 elite equipment. I can't upgrade them above lvl 15. I don't have any weapon with more than 2 stars. I only have a single star on nem, samir, and meryl. I have 31.5k cs. My weapon cs only comes up to more or less 10k. It's not possible at this early stage of the game for f2p to get 6 star weapons. Even if I have maximum gear stars it will only add up to 5-7k. Weapon gives a lot of difference and not to mention the advancements' passive.

You can look it the other way around though: Getting high star weapons almost doubled your CS. A more fair comparison would be to show the diffrence between 0 star weapons to your high star weapons with the same gear. Don't get me wrong i think this is a great tip, but lets not suger coat that spending money helps ALOT in this game regardless of CS. (Gacha game is P2W no matter what)

@@damo1329 This is not true my friend, From ultima, to Runescape, Maplestory, Wow and the list goes on. MMO in its core are made for the weak to become strong, and look strong in front of the weak. This has been going on since AFK'ing near spawn portals to flex gear. I will say though the difficulty curve from 50+ is waay to strong. Even with half decent stats i get 1 shotted and the only way to fix it is to pull the wallet out. I can't be the only one who noticed Frontier Clash is impossible without a set of whale with you, i agree with you on that point.

Yeah people aren't doing it wrong. Most people do know. It's just the power of rng and swiping. F2p you van play efficiently but you will still be screwed by your limited rng due to f2p restrictions. I know many f2p that quit due to getting screwed by rng whereas a whale has far less restrictive resource game. He'll some even made multiple accounts

The worst mistake is not inability to whale for many stars weapon and matrices ... the worst mistake is actually just stop playing for a day or 2 ... you'll lose out real quick and find it hard to catch up to the content ... TOF is rewarding ppl who 1. whale , 2. grind ...casual ppl like me are still stuck at 57/58 even after spending all daily vitality and not able to unlock lvl60 content yet unless i spend longer hours to grind for xp

Better substats. You aren’t going to swap often but you should get a set first just for its basestats and then work to get ones with better substats.

The % is one thing but u also have those flat CRIT(ex CRIT:345 or so) they are converted to CRIT rate and CRIT dmg in a certain way I'm not sure but it won't add up to the % that shown in the stat, I think

So I have been doing healing in group content. C1 Nem, C3 Coco, C5 King. When I do dps I use C5 King, C3 Coco, C1 Tsubasa. I am wondering if you could maybe go over which kind of character would be good to save for? Im really interested in Lin, Lyra, Saki, and maybe Ruby or Cobalt B, but Im not sure which character would benefit my teams the most Hmm. The dark crystals are hard to come by.

I loved these videos because they highlight the biggest factor to most newcomers to these type of games.....there is no shortcut and that gains no matter how small still are gains. Yeah obviously pulling dupes gives a spike, but at the end of the day unless you keep swiping you're gonna have to eventually do the forbidden thing of playing the game and farming. Players that I come across seem really toxic if you don’t do as much damage as them they say it in your face like you should know this by now or you should be doing this. I did joint op at difficulty level 7 today like what walrus say take advantage of the whales. One of the person who joined said we should use our humas to break franken’s shield but me and my friend were having a hard time still learning the boss. Dropping ONE piece of SSR gear can take 1 or 2 runs in joint op, aka, vitality. We have 180 vitality, 2 runs in joint op. cost 90 each. How do you get enough runs in joint op to get 8 pieces in 2 weeks? Refreshing vitality with black crystals, aka: whaling. SSR Matrices drop rate, after launch date, are now almost at 0 from joint op or bosses the only other way to get them is to pull from the matrices banner ( no earlies, is 40th pull). Aka whaling. So is correct that constellations do not make the bulk of CS, but the rest is still behind a steep paywall. I expected PvP to be sverely crippled by paywalls, but i must admit that even PvE is included. Upgrading gears with barely existent droprate of crystals and facing Bygone with purple gears and matrices can make a player advance by 2-5 floors a week, maybe adding some skills and luck even 10-15 floors, so when bygone resets the loot still quite low. As low spender and heavy grinder it took me almost 2 weeks to upgrade my CS from 18k to 24k and still stuck at level 56. I don't care about PvP, but having PvE so affected by ptw is a bit disappointing from a game that bragged about being better than a certain other company in terms of generosity. And aside for the first 72 hours after release i haven't seen a SSR character dropping before hitting the 80th pulls, wich means, pity resets every time and does not carry over. Started very well with ToF, now i am a bit more skeptical.

I think you just run out of luck. Even with the new update I still get ssr matrices and equipments. So far with my red and gold nucleus I have the same luck as you are, only getting ssr at guaranteed 80 pity.

i generally try to only do the joint ops thats recommended but man have i been unlucky and just getting trash teammates that think the game is a solo game and go all leeroy on the bosses hoping they get carried.

you gotta remember I havent geared up half of my equipt yet cuz their stats aren't good enough. Also most people aren't 60 and don't have full SSR matrix. In actuality gear should be making up 75% of your CS if you are a small spender. F2P prob 80%

You get CS by unlocking weapon ascensions too. So spending definitely is key to gaining CS.

CS has nothing to do with P2W. Im F2P and I got 38.5k CS on lvl 60. C3 Shiro, C5 Tsubasa, C0 Frigg. Pulled many Shiros and Tsubasa and bought more Tsubasas with Coins. Rest comes from farming gear. Not that hard, just grind.

looks like i need to get to 60 as much as i can..... still finding those nice gold stats... welll not so good stats, but as i can change my purple ones to gold then hope RNG is good ... Matrices..... demn.... they are gonna be far for being perfect, not even same kind...., was trying not to use those gold ciphers just to be ready for the Floating island.... though there are some being used, still not lucky on having dropped a single of those gold matrices, so i use those 40 of gold matrices to roll in gatcha, and .....yeah... bit not so lucky on matrices i want but i level them to 50 just for their stats... Level still at 57 currently, still trying hard on exp, not to mention im seeing double exp already since im behind (kinda) so i think the game is making me level up fast, but i need to watch again on the "leveling" part CS now at 23k, so it depends..... so ill try now to concentrate on.... maybe on leveling my weapons first and equipments..... will try hard on wormhole ( i havent even finish the hard part on gold), still questioning if im gonna do hard on Frontier Clash even if its only 1 chest i gonna get, Bygone Phantasm still at 70 something (yeah sad, even for a level 57 and 23k CS).....

Work on your gear instead of trying to level, so yes do joint and frontier clash to get more purples at least

you can buy the purple equipment from the shop, just for the survivability. I suggest to do Joint OP, try to get more advance equipment as to not weighing down your teammates.

I feel like stamina really kills the game progress for both whales, light spenders, and f2p. It hinders gears progression to match the level and requirements for certain areas to farm gears and dust.
