One of the most interesting buildings in the smaller ancient sites near The Plaka is the 1st century BCE Tower of the Winds in the Roman Forum. In it's time, this octagonal structure served as a compass, sundial and weather vane. Several reliefs of the eight winds are still clearly visible. This short film is made up of stills and video clips of mine from visits to Athens over a 23 year period.
