It throws a bone to both the scale/detail enthusiast and feature/function enthusiast, but consequently leaves out the simplicity/performance enthusiast, which is the camp I sort of fall into. It seems like a solid release from the new Axial, but is more than I care to dabble with. These days I mostly only have time and opportunity to wheel around my backyard, and I don’t need 2-speed or dig for that. I’ll wait and see what the next iteration of the 10.3 platform will be. I’m speculating that a simplified RTR will come out in six months to a year.

12.3” standard wheelbase. I don’t believe the links have enough adjustment for different WB..... optional links are the answer.

Need a single gear transmission version with a dig. Please don’t use the same housing with spacers and what not. Throw a forward mounted motor single speed trans of its own in there. I know it may cost some $$ but it will compete against Traxxas Trx4 sport 👍👍

Decent review but if you had actually built it yourself, you would have known that the frame rails are at their longest setting when built to spec. And in NO way are the included links capable of being used with a shorter wheelbase (unless you can cut and machine them yourself). And the 2 speed transmission gear ratios are not significantly different, not sure who "runs with the rc" at that pace, but it gives hope to many of us chunkier fellows!

No, right now Axial only has a kit version for the SCX10 iii. They will probably come out with a rtr version in the future.
