On 16th April 2024, Hyperia at Thorpe Park successfully made its first test run. This Mack Rides hyper coaster reaches a height of 236ft and a top speed of over 80mph.

Awesome footage Guys I love the last clip from outside the park 😮!! I’m staying on the 23rd the the shark cabins and will be in the park eating breakfast whilst a lot of people are driving to the park or queuing outside 😂 most excited for the stall !

@@xix94 We should see it speed up once the chain lift is at the normal running speed, and the wheel bearings have worn in.

Definitely interested to see what that outerbank feels like. sideways hangtime that just keeps going and turns into some laterals in the other direction should be a cool feeling.

Look at the size of that thing (oo-er!) compared to Saw on the left, that is a monster of a ride. Not been on a rollercoaster for don't know how many years, might be worth booking a day at thorpe later on in the year or before the kids break up for summer. At my age, might need a week to recover from the experience of a theme park!

They are holders for brake fins, but have not been installed as of yet. Hopefully they won't be.

It looks great, I’ll just never get why they built it so short. It’s sad we wait 30 years for the record to be beaten at they give us half a hyper. I really do hope Universal gets built so it forces Merlin to up their game and give us something world class for once. They have been allowed to get away with murder in terms of building new rides.
