I use Sport Mode to tow my 6x12 Cargo Conversion. It seems to perform better that way, but I live out west where everything is uphill.

I wasn't super impressed with the 2.7 Ford Performance tune, but my Bronco did do an uncorrected 6.5 second 0-60 time and a 15.02 1/4 mile at 2000 ft above sea level (conditions were equivalent to 3000 ft on a standard day).

Are you considering the JB4 or VR Tune modules that don't require a flash? What do you think about those two compared to the Ford performance and the Whipple tunes?

If I'm looking at the right model, the GVWR on this camper is 4795lbs and the UVW is 3560lbs. Both of those exceed the tow capacity of the Bronco. Am I missing something?

towing isnt just gear ratios and torque. the frame and suspension play an even more important role. the 2.3 is rated at 3500lbs and 2.7 is 4500lbs.

Hello! I have had issues with towing my offroad trailer. The tongue of the trailer is so short that I need a hitch extender to clear my 37" tire. There is also a lot of sag on the back tires which is annoying. I found out that the factory hitch bent at the cross member and is at an angle. I went to a body shop, and they will reinforce it since Ford says I broke it with all my mods.. They are going to reinforce it as the guy said it looked very "chincy". I am interested in any sag issues, the weight of your carpet and tongue weight. We have a Cricket offroad trailer and it is only 1900 # dry. 250 tongue weight. Thank you and appreciate your videos!! 3500 lbs unless it's The Raptor 4000lbs. It is illegal on highway to tow above vehicles specked towing capacity. You don't want to get in an accident being above tow rating either.

@@vh3531 Yes, but that's dry weight. Which is why I posed the question. If you go camping, your are not towing an empty trailer.

@@tomschaffer9702 I agree with you. As long as you are at or under that weight limit you are good. And yes, I believe her trailer was above the tow capacity of the vehicles stated limits. That rv's dry weight of 3,560 lbs, is 60lbs over to start. Then you add gear, supplies, propane, it definitely exceeded the tow weight limit of the Bronco. Thats with empty water tanks too. A load level hitch doesn't negate that fact either.

She won’t answer these questions because she knows it’s illegal and potentially very dangerous. But I guess views and likes for a startup KZbin channel are more important than safety…that and you get to borrow a trailer for a short while.

@@chrisderksen2224 Could be, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.. Maybe she is aware and just pushing the envelope a little. Either way, I wouldn't recommend towing more than a tear drop or something behind a bronco or a jeep. I have both, and I ended up getting a class A and flat towing the rigs (not both at once, LOL). But yeah, you really can't tow much with these. Be careful buttercup!

Having a single axle trailer doesn't help. Tandem tow way better. As far as the 2.3, the Ranger kicks butt towing. On premium it makes 330 tq on premium fuel. It's under rated. Livernois tunes make a pretty significant difference. Engine and transmission.

If you want the best mpg, get no ethanol gasoline, it gets way better mileage on no ethanol gasoline.
