You don't have to take the tensioner pulley apart. Just loosen up the t20 at the top, then rotate the tensioner using a t40 to loosen it up. Put the chain on then align the green marks. If one direction doesn't allow the marks to line up go the other way.

Segui paso a paso tus instrucciones y resulto de maravilla, lo único diferente que hice fue acudir a un taller de motos y ahí de una cadena #25 rota tomaron un eslabon y lo pusieron en la mia. Ellos lo colocaron remachándolo y quedo perfecta. La cadena del que lo tomaron según me dijeron fue de una cadena de la bomba de aceite de una moto grande, después la rocie con grasa de litio en aerosol y listo. Nuevamente muchísimas gracias.

Amigo saludos, tengo una duda mi camioneta es la tc 2009 limited 4.0, tiene sonido al abrir cajuela?, pero para saber, es de uso la camioneta y en un estacionamiento una similar al lado si hacia ruido como alarma.

The traditional way, grab the handle under the lip of the liftgate and squeeze with your hand and then lift up. I'm guessing you have never had a vehicle without power lift assist of any kind in your life?

I just fixed the chain on my lift gate (bought a single link rather than a whole chain). The door will open when you push the button, but then does the double click like it hit something and you have to close it manually. Any ideas?

My car doesn’t have it, so I pay one from the salvage yard, it’s looks like new but when I assembled it didn’t work when I press the button and I didn’t have a fob , so how can I make sure it is working????

Mine won't lock. You hear the motor but it shuts then opens. Wont lock. Do I need another one?

Was the root cause of the failure the broken plastic part or the actual chain? Do you have the part number for the broken plastic part in the video?

The main problem was the broken chain and unfortunately I don't have the part numbers since I got the spare parts from my local junk yard

@@gtolatino79 My mother had the same issue with her van. I ended up buying the whole assembly on Ebay, but the root cause of her issue was a broken chain.
