Beautiful black art Deco jar! The light blue swirl is just awesome! Ahh practically everything you find is way cool!! I haven't seen one of them Dad's root beer bottles since back then in the early 60's.Brought back more great memories for me! One awesome riker full of awesome marbles!

Red Ball Jets!! Now there's a memory direct from my early childhood. Every kid in my neighborhood was crazy about getting Red Ball Jet sneakers---because of the red rubber circle that went on the edge of heels, was supposed to make you run faster, lol! As kids, we all believed the advertising hook, line, and sinker. There's a lesson in there somewhere. 😉 The black glass jar is awesome, love vintage glass like that. More rain over here today! my internet was out most of yesterday.

Yea. I was going to get out the other coin I found like that. But it is at the bottom of that pile of plastic toys on that shelf....LOL. Like 1000 toys on top of it in a mess. I bet there are a few of those in every dump...in every town...in America. I guarantee you will see another dump digger digging in 1950's and 60's trash find one of these. This is my 3rd or 4th i think. and only has been nice.

@@rockscousteau I have 5 Irish wolfhounds and a cat in the house. My biggest girl is 190 pounds. They are great counter surfers. My cat has to duck and dodge when they are coming in or going out. I like my dogs more than I do most people.

A pretty display can be made with damaged marbles. Fill a bottle or jar with chipped marbles then fill the bottle with water or mineral oil. The marbles will look perfect while in the liquid.

Red Ball Jets-I lived near the factory in Indiana that made those shoes- You would smell that rubber smell a long way off from the factory.

That black glass, look for an aluminum shaker top. It’s a salt, flour, or pepper shaker accessory for a fancy kitchen stove. It should be the same as the milk white or green milky colored shakers that are so common.

@@rockscousteau I love your content, the dump digs. I’m a metal detectorist. Digging dumps is a rare thing in my part of the state (in Northern California). There aren’t many opportunities to find ‘unofficial’ dumps like the ones you dig, and there are no marble manufacturers in the region. Sometimes an occasional homestead dump shows up when road improvements are going on, but that’s about it, so I metal detect, and only dig dumps ‘vicariously’ through your show! 😁

@@MendocinoButterfly I bet if you find natural springs and ridges along places like that in the desert . You will be able to find native stuff. You could detect for meteorites too. And the good thing out there....Gold Nuggets. You ever try hiking into old mining camps and looking for the dumps?

That first marble you find might be a Heaton agate with vitrolite oxblood. The vitrolite oxblood often looks purple.

I think birds ( an other animals ) are funny, always spreading the gossip/news about whats going on in the neighborhood ! That Black ArtDeco Glass jar is Really Nice !! It will look Really Great with a Chrome/shiny silver lid on it. Be nice if you could find a shiny silver ring lid w/ a black ( or clear ) glass top piece to go in it. ( like those White brand Glass white tops you've were finding ). ** Most everybody needed the rain, I'm just glad you & your Mom aren't getting all those floods like the East Coast is Getting !
