Addressing the challenges of the effects of El Niño in Occidental Mindoro, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. convenes with the farmers and fisherfolks of the Province in a town hall consultation in Barangay San Roque, Municipality of San Jose on 23 April 2024.
The President engages in an open forum with the affected sectors prior to delivering his keynote message.
In a pre-program held before the President’s arrival, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) provides a comprehensive presentation on the current situation of El Niño in the Province.
Highlighting localized strategies, the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Occidental Mindoro outlines programs and projects aimed at mitigating the adverse effects of El Niño on agricultural productivity.
Complementing these efforts, the Department of Agriculture (DA) Region 4B discusses regional strategies and resources allocated to support affected farmers and fisherfolks.
