You think they are good, because they are policy oriented, which every Q&A should be, because you get specific answers to specific questions. But CNN for Dems and FOX for Republicans have realised, that some of their politicians dom't like to be grilled with difficult and specific questions, where the politician may fumble the answer or even not know what they would do. You can easily see that in how FOX treats Trump. Questions about policy are vague and there is never any follow-up. The hard questions are always reserved for the opposition. CNN does the same if a Republican lawmaker is on their show.

Even though he did get fair questions and was liked by the crowd I noticed that he didn't answer some of the more important questions that really mattered. Equal opportunity starts with having a roof over your head and food on the table while you're growing up. Bailing out the rich whenever they make bad investments, with the taxes of hardworking people who struggle to make ends meet is not right. Bernie does NOT seek equality of outcome, but in the world's richest country, all people should have the basics of survival, including healthcare. Taxing billionaires is needed if we want to repair the nation's crumbling infrastructure and have clean drinking water in all major cities, and all the other things that the developed nations of the world provide for all their citizens. That's what it takes to make the US great again.

The problem is, the whole solution of increasing tax on the rich may sound good in theory but it does not work in practice. If the super wealthy have even more tax then they'll just leave the country (the ones who haven't already left) and you'll get nothing at all from them. Increasing taxes and giving people "free" stuff" sounds good but in the end its the middle and working class american who may suffer even more. In my opinion, the big issue is that people rely on government too much. Kids are growing up without food and shelter and why? Because the government made it that way? Nope its because their parents had kids which they KNEW they could not afford to take care of and then a lot of the time one or both of their parents just abandon them. Its all good and well blaming the government for not doing enough but at some point individuals have to take responsibility for their own actions

As an asthmatic that didn't have healthcare For 6 years I feared for my life as a 26-32 year old. My inhaler was 325$ plus the 90$ it took to get the prescription from a doctor. No one is talking about becoming Stalinist Russia, we're talking about joining the rest of the developed world as a social democracy instead of an economy that only works to furth enrich the wealthy, e.g. "Crony Capitalism." The most successful countries are a combination of capitalism and socialism, including the US, though we take the worst of both, and give most of our ssd socialism to corporations. Go to Somalia if you want to live in a country without any socialism. Social Security and Medicare have been some of the most beneficial programs for millions of Americans and helped drop senior citizen poverty from 50% to 8%.
