The Town of Light is a first-person "psychological adventure" set in an Italian asylum in the early 20th Century. Playing as former patient Renee, Mike plus Luke and Ellen from Outside Xtra, head back to the asylum to solve the mysteries of her past. Though it doesn’t explicitly bill itself as a horror game, The Town of Light is pretty darn creepy, not least because of the inclusion of a creepy doll that the OX team had to carry around with them. If that thing starts talking, we are out of here.
The Town of Light comes out on Xbox One and PS4 in Spring 2017. The gameplay footage above was taken from the PS4 version of the game supplied by the publisher.

Horse power originated from the ponies they used to use to haul buckets out of mines or lumber out of tree falling fields. Ponypower didn't sound macho enough for a bunch of miners and lumberjacks, and the people selling early engines wanted their target demographic to understand how much weight the engines could hoist. That's why a horse is actually about 2 horsepower, because they aren't ponies.

For some reason, I too always thought I'd prefer having Mike at my side during a horror game/film as he just doesn't get scared and he makes me feel safer, but I'm starting to think it might be a bad idea... Ellen is SO adorable, I love it!!! She reminds me a simpler time, ages past a long long time ago. My girlfriend and my mom hugged up together, cowering behind me on the sofa. Two of my best friends sitting on the floor. Everyone watching intently as I wander into the windowed hallway as Jill Valentine in the original resident evil on the old PlayStation. Ellen even makes the same noises as them. Fond memories indeed.

I am greatly entertained by one of the medical illustrations on the wall. We actually used those in my figure and anatomy class in my illustration bachelor I'm going for. Best way to teach the doctor's when they couldn't learn from cadavers. They would have textbooks full of illustrations like that to teach them how to be doctor's! It's very fascinating! I even had to replicate surgical illustrations to learn more about drawing the human figure and such! Y'all should look it up! It's some fascinating history!

Ellen, if you want to loot an abandoned asylum, check out Thief Deadly Shadows. I would say it's the most harrowing thing you'll ever do in gaming, but it doesn't have spiders to trigger your phobia, so you've got heaps of games more harrowing than that. Also note that I'm a wimp and don't play actual horror games. But I honestly can't think of anything that could be more frightening than Shalebridge Cradle. Longer yes, but not more frightening.
