I have mixed feelings on this game existing after how Traitors in Salem turned out but Town of Salem 2 certainly seems off to a good start. That Deputy reveal mechanic is hilarious.

@@alecLogan Yeah the Jester completely broke the game, because it was hella OP iirc. Which is funny because the jester in Among Us/ToS is probably the best addition and most balancing role ever, because it stops random votes.

@@georgeeast5502 iirc, Jester also kept it’s original(?) ability of being able to kill someone else the following night, if they died outside of being executed. That’s _if_ I remember right, which I might not. Might well be remembering a Werewolves Lite version of ToS instead. If so, though, then that was more something that fully got balanced by the Among Us mod than started balanced to begin with.

I think this will turn out much better. It's basically ToS but with even more roles and they seem more balanced overall. Traitors also had a big problem of sometimes nothing happened due to all the grouping, while this one won't have that problem.

OH my god, thanks for the upload. It’ll definitely get me a little further through my hospital adventures tonight. @Vespid Coffee Yeah, modern medicine sure is amazing. My own appendicitis was misdiagnosed, and it ended up bursting by the time I'd been admitted to the hospital (and would've been too dangerous to operate because of infection). I was in the hospital for 5 days, sent home, but after a day had been so nauseous the entire day I couldn't take the medication, went back to hospital, and stayed for almost another week. Getting the surgery might be painful for now, but I'm told the road to recovery is much faster at least 😅

wow town of salem 2! i remember 10 years ago he was playing with ze and smarty. they were so good at that and i played the game at the time as well. i dropped the game when everything become so predictible. tos2 as a new game would be great because people still learning. i hope they would add new roles in time too. also 1 year ago i watched ze and the group playing town of salem and he was acting like he didnt know anything. it was so frustrating thinking they were so good at it in the past. live streaming also make the game harder i guess because they dont pay attention and always thanking subs.

TBH the meta for TOS 1 did change over the years and they haven't been that committed to it, more of an on again off again game. Now that the crew is larger then those of the past there should be a bit more TOS 2 especially when they actually figure out what trickster does.

It's certainly subjective, though I do agree that the look of the UI is worse (same goes for the ToS overhaul they did before, as well, I much prefer the original minimalistic approach to something that's quite an eyesore and gets in the way more). At least it seems like they're finally adding a lot of quality of life features to the interface, I do love that (though it is the stuff that ideally should have been in ToS years ago). The rest is just a victim of becoming 3D, harder to make it look good, but I personally don't mind it much, at least it's not the same old.

It was good to see yeti again during these 2 tos streams but poor guy, two games in a row but my god it was hilarious I actually just came from watching the vod & yh that vig game was a wild ride, the bad guys could have won that if they'd not voted inno on Kara, was obvious who was who anyway. Having checked yeti had skadj picked but why the coven didn't vote guilty I don't know, could have gone either way that one I know the group play chill but all they need to do is count roles & work out the maths of who is left & share more info especially as investigating roles. then I think that would make a massive difference Seems the 2nd game is better for this group, might see it more often if they are getting the hang of it & games so a bit faster to

Here few tips for in game if didn’t know if type # you get list of roles and can added to your will and if type @ you can mention player and if type : you get effects of certain abilities also if hover over ability icon you see detail description of what it does.

I think that was this in early development? Far too confusing where neither the players nor the audience knew what was going on or why whomever had been declared the winner. Maybe ToS 2 has multiple modes? Either way I'm glad they changed it. If they left it the way it was I wouldn't have been able to follow it and simply not watched those videos. And if it wasn't anything but a knock off of Among Us it would be like Goose Goose Duck or 'Mong Us with mods. Hard to be a successful product if it's just a thematic reskin.

28:14 Oh my god I feel like this conversation is about me. I need to be completely naked when I shit, I don't like the sensation of even slightly moist underwear after washing my bum (I use a bidet. If I use toilet paper the thought is even worse), nor do I like visualizing the toilet water particles getting on my clothes when I flush. I wasn't always like this but at some point something just clicked, it might've been when I found out about all the shit water that collects in public hand dryers. I can't watch any videos with people speaking whenever I'm doing my business either, especially when they're speaking to the viewer. I get really poop shy, and I feel like the person is speaking to me directly while I'm on the toilet. I also don't use urinals most times because I feel so exposed. The only time I use them is when the washroom is completely empty. And one time me and my friend were using the washroom and went into our own toilet stalls, which made me uncomfortable because the stalls were right next to each other, but then he tried making conversation mid-piss stream and I told him after that I can't hold a conversation mid-piss. It's so awkward because when people speak to me while either of us are doing our business I involuntarily imagine what people look like doing their business. If Chilled is weird for not wanting to watch confrontational videos on the toilet, then I guess I'm much weirder. Also fun fact: toilets in japan play ocean sounds to mask the sound of the person pissing or pooping. I think it's cute, and might be necessary if I'll get a house one day

It''s only confusing if you trat it like ToS, it's still a different game even if it replicates a lot from ToS. If the Jailor jails, but doesn't execute certain Neutral Killers, they attack the Jailor, and I guess in case of werewolf with their rampaging attack it means they also attack people who visit Jailor

The Among Us based one was a spin off called "Traitors in Salem", while this one is a direct sequel to Town of Salem. It does reuse some assets from Traitors in Salem, but very different gameplay wise.
