What it feels like for me is that BMG wants people to just make general claims like Town Killing or Town Support instead of revealing full roles since the only ways to get a concrete roles is either witching someone or the reveal potion, which are both coven exclusive. DS and Ritualist are in place to enforce keeping your real a secret with whispers being save to use since there is no BM anymore.

Pretty lucky that the Ritualist instantly outed themselves in the first game. Arguably, Ritualist is the biggest enemy of a Doomsayer, since by design it picks away at confirmed roles before you actually get to use them.

doomsayer should perhaps be a unique roll as more of them can make the game just go super fast. also that admirer roll seems hella counter intuitive but it could be useful for forcefully confirming someone whos sus at the cost of linking your lives together.

Not necessarily. Some strong town roles like Jailor, Deputy, Prosecutor would also suffer drom being revealed early. So even townie may refuse depending on circumstances. + confirming 2 roles instantly is bad in doomsayer game.

Definitely, and proposing d2 is just bad play. Ritualist and doomsayer as well as a free 2f1 for evils even if it is town. Lots of downside, especially early, so you should wait for more info so you can get a lot of value instead of trying to be a fancy sheriff. Townies should probably reject a d2 proposal most of the time.

Yeah, Admirer is a Town (Sabotage). I understand the want to have a cupid role (like the one in Agrou) but publicly announcing the people involved and giving away their roles is stupid and sabotaging for the town. They could have done it like in Agrou where only the lovers known each other and form a new win condition, but no the town just needs another role that marks them to conjurers, ritualists and doomsayers because the game isn't easy enough for them. Btw, Feign has a sorcerer role that is like the ritualists but has a harsher backfire since it kills them. That game was harder for role guessing since every innocent role (except Insane) can become evil too.

baker kinda works as a hard timer for town in 4 horsemen mode, if you don't get them before n4 it can be gg, since they will likely choose to give bread to less influential townies/other horsemen, and pb/berserker works as another timer if they get baker early, since war will start rampaging and pestilence just kills anyone, soul coletor/death has it the roughest unless they coordinate with berserker somehow, but if death spawns with another horseman alive still, that's gg, I really like that mode, seems really balanced

The apocalypse roles are a faction. They speak to each other at night. Berserker can only attack n2 (full moons), so town has a free night. This means Soul Collector only finishes at the earliest N4 since Vig can't shoot N1 (unless they happen to guess a vet kill somehow) If Baker gives their bread to their fellow faction members then being tracked would out 2 people AND they lose progress everytime their faction member is lynched. As for Pest and War, they're pretty much the same as reg town of salem, except War has invincible defense as well (but won't rampage at home like pest) In all Any, only 1 apocalypse member can ever be selected, making the night chat exclusive to this gamemode.

Trickster just doesn't hit like Transporter did. On one hand you have a lower chance of getting rampaged but on the other you can't call out people attacking other players of interest or deflect whatever the new consort is called off an important townie I forgot.

Doomsayer idea. Instead of killing all three, when you guess, you get to protect one, reveal one, and kill one. Sort of fits with the fated outcome idea, and doesn't kill the games pacing with an easy nuke. That or have them get outed for a wrong guess like the ritualist.

So does admirer just reveal people as evil? Because if you accept then town can see that your evil, and if you reject that would be suspicious because you don't want your role revealed. So you get into a lose-lose situation when the admirer uses their ability on you. Also if they use it on a townie, then that's just a free doub kill for coven or apocalypse factions.

Yeah I hate how they gave town roles a lot of abilities that say exactly what role you are, and yet have two roles designed to do an unstoppable attack. I don't like how town is told they should lie or be vague about their roles as well, as I think it just ruins the social deduction part in my opinion. Was vfr perfect? No, but I definitely perfer it than whatever their goal was with this game. I don't want to hate this game, and I know some of these issues are just it being brand new, but I just don't see myself switching from the first game over.

I think it's not that bad. 1. It's still only 1 kill per game, unlike Vig who gets 3. 2. It doesn't allow you to lynch someone else that day. And you'll die in the process. On the other hand, Deputy can also kill one person, lynch someone else and survive all of that. 3. If the outed player isn't a major threat (like a horseman or lategame hex) then they can convince the town to focus on those first and delay their own death. Eventually they'll get lynched but they can still help their faction or try to get their win condition met.

Trickster is just Modded Salem's Beguiler role. It's finite, doesn't seem to be RB immune and only protects itself. If it's supposed to be what replaces transporter, I'd say the role is overall worse. As a side-grade to Veteran or an upgrade to Survivor? That I can at least see an argument for.

Pest can kill all but 3 players on night 4 (the 3 that were not given bread) which can really turn the tables. If Town hasn't gotten rid of at least 2 of them by night 4, then its just luck that someone like Prosecutor is alive or else Town wont have the votes to win.
