Town of Salem is back today with some crazy town traitor gamemode! I've been playing less town traitor recently since the meta has changed to be a bit more boring, but this game isn't! I've always wanted to know what happens when the game boils down to it's most close ending. In this town traitor game I am a mafia who tries to set our town traitor up for a massive win!

Regardless having a TI become useless after a certain point in games doesn't add any additional value. Maybe if Sheriff became Vigi after finding out every living persons role or something.

So wait, the countdown didn't start because there was still witch in the game? That seems not ok. Town being able to do 6 miss lynches and still win is very dumb. IMO, They need to have the countdown timer start on day 1, a higher value like ~13, and it accelerates by 1 every miss lynch or town team kill (non traitor jailor, vigi, vet). Reward town for accurately lynching, and punish town for doing not town style things IE self killing or killing other town.

This was a really good cooperative mafia, choosing to help confirm TT than desperately try to win with all maf alive. Best thing to do imo, when your TT is TI. Good game Skimm!

i think witch should be taken off the role list, (IT'S SOOOO WEAK) and should be replaced with jester to buff mafia and make jailor use exes and maf has a lower chance of getting lynched

i think it should be a ne slot. having it as a set role makes it easier for town to find and keep alive. also the ne shouldnt stop tt countdown it makes it too easy to just find ne and two confirmed town and kill everyone else.

The people that don't know how to play and don't understand the whole social deduction premise have changed the definition of game throwing to fit them and there are a lot of them. Game Throwing = This person is better than me/I don't understand what they are doing. Even not following jailor meta could be looked at as game throwing these days.

@@MrKennySteel Generally speaking not following the meta COULD be considered gamethrowing. The thing is, the meta requires all parties to participate, and when one person goes to do his own thing, the whole concept just falls apart. And this hurts town overall as a faction. Any action you make that directly hurts your faction is reportable for throwing, and this includes being "dumb" in ranked. Honestly, if you're playing ranked, there are certain expectations that you know the basic mechanics of the game, and are somewhat experienced. Thus, many "misplays" that may be acceptable in casual modes are not in ranked.

Ore Creeper if a person feels that town could be doing a better job but town won’t listen, and that person decides to do their own thing and follow their own leads, that is not reportable for throwing. Having a working mind of your own does not equal throwing a game, nor is “any action” that hurts your team, we’re all playing the same game. I honestly don’t think you all know what it means to throw a game.

My first TT game was as a witch who managed to convince Jailor I was LO and was trying to get the real LO lynched who turned out to be the TT. We won over all that confusion

I had a game with mafia down (except from the GF that was kept in jail) and witch down so we needed to find the tt. I was jailor and we were lucky enough to have a veteran. So, I told every visiting role to suicide into vet. The funny part is that vet forgot to alert and a lookout that wanted to suicide saw who visited and not. And only one doc stayed home. And that’s how we got the tt in one night. :)

I saw a suggestion for town traitor that allows mafia to suicide when they have been rbd/jailed multiple times in a row and town traitor is the only other maf left to prevent stuff like this happening

I think instead of suicide, the ability to flee and never come back to town as suiciding seems too radical just to kill every town that doesn't submit to the mafia

The TT did a poor job at acting townie. I feel like in this situation you almost always lynch sheriff off because they aren't contributing anything rolewise and aren't trying to find the TT via social deduction in this case.

Witch should’ve dc’ed to give Maf a chance.. sucks though, the countdown should honestly start with Witch still alive.. or they should turn TT into Mafioso which would lessen the power of Jailor/Mayor TT but maybe it forces them to mislynch early or exe a second town early and take the lynch for Maf

Sheriff May Be Bad, but imagine being TT Med. I was TT med one game and I instantly was speaking to dead town in, which they sniffed out my GF so I ratted him right away using receipts of the text they sent in dead chat to rat the GF and “confirm” myself. I was extremely cooperative with dead town and also posting dead mafs chatting to till the end where they slowly started to kill people off to find TT. A mayor reveals and starts with killing people off, some reason they let me live till the very end I guess to just have the smart town inform me of what to say? Well anyways there was also a vigi alive and to prove himself with only him mayor a invest and I left I said before day ended “Mayor could be TT also and if he is we lose tomorrow morning” hoping for my prediction to come true because the vigi honestly sounded dumb *lol*. In fact he ended up shooting mayor and instantly the vigi and last townie tried to convince me to hang the other completely just trusting me, so I hung the townie and not the vigi because I wanted to see the vigi s reaction to the dead town he hung. I won as TT med using the most unbelievable way to win, by planting a thought into vigis mind hoping to win.

When I first tried the new TT game mode here is what I got Round 1: TT Round 2: TT Round 3: TT Round 4: Town Round 5: TT I got VERY lucky when first trying the TT game mode

Witch should just claim TT once all other mafia is dead, so at least Mafia can win. Because you as witch already lost once maf killing are out. And the only way to win is to start a TT clock, which means you have to die as witch. Better give mafia chance to win than losing them the game by trying to get from 2v8 to 2v1... seriously impossible even for god tier players.

Can you try out a strategy I've been working on please? It's called a silent medium strategy. If a town member is the first one to die inform them that you are not going to be speaking, and that if any other dead ask, there is no medium. As a result the mafia will likely say who the other mafia members are as they are under the assumption that there is no medium.

Honestly, the fact you can keep witch alive and completely cheese the TT countdown is fucking ridiculously stupid. They should have lost. Completely. Witch cant do anything in this situation to help, why should they count? Town just keeps a useless evil alive to find the TT. And they needed every single one of those days. TT played his heart out and still lost because of dumb cheesey mechanics. Maf 100% deserved to win this. Town doesnt need any more fucking help.

To be honest this game mode list isn't fun at all, and don't get me started on the balance point, Sheriff is not only a bad Ti in general but even worse for this list since he can only find rm and mafioso, worst of the worst, he is for some reason a MUST for this list, which is crap, Witch is also too weak, instead of the 3 rts, I'd set it to 2 and 2 Tks by default, and every game is pretty much the same in high elo, get to turn 9/10 playing it safe, using Witch to freeze the game and lynch every one, can't get more boring than that, the TT part is also pretty bad, since there is no way to really find them (you won't get scum reads in true high elo), TT feels either auto win with Jailor playing it perfectly to force 2 VS 2 with witch in late game to insta win, or broken TT transporter to get Jailor killed N1, but at the same time you could get TT Medium (I don't think I need to say much about this one). It's a cool concept, but the devs should look into it, to make it either fun or viable to play.

Ok that is complete bs. TT should auto win 1v1, otherwise you should just quit if you have crappy team synergy. It's absolutely hopeless if town plays it safe. The witch is literally the best thing that could happen to town, a non-killing evil. The amount of unfairness in towns favor is once again exemplified. They're like the person who starts a game of tic-tac-toe, you can't win against them unless they MAJOR F up.

Can't really blame the witch. The only way to die at that point would have been to hope the Vet alerted, or leave the game. I'm agreeing with a lot of people in the comments that the Witch blocking the countdown, ESPECIALLY with no killing power for them to use, is complete BS.
