So damn good im 34 im blessed i found Townes music and then this documentary. I tear up listening to his songs its a good release. I can relate to this song and Townes in general. Not only his lyrics but lifestyle. Like the soundtrack to my life in ways. But im still ramblin yet.a good man runnin threw hell will bare the cross all the way threw tell he finds the door back into the light. My goal is to have good health mabey one day have me a lady some kids and some dogs and land eather up the canyon or in estes itself. Thats my dream and to get my music out there one day. And at my end God excepts me into paradise Amen🙏💪💯💛😎

I recommend the biopic, Be There to Love Me. A brilliant songwriter, but a tragic life. I’m happy to report that I own about five of his vinyls.

One of my choices, "when my time comes ", is trekking back to Colorado and laying down under a good tree up in a mountain. Or go on a cruise ship, this way I'll be full, REALLY FULL of good food, then and all kinds of sharks and fish will thank me LOTS for bringing them plenty to eat 👍 ! But then, under a tree up in the mountains sounds really good... And also listening to this song and then AT MY FUNERAL of The Crash Test Dummies (+ a couple more 😁). EITHER way, I'll be at ease. We need to be at ease "when the time comes"... 👍 !

Sounds like it could have been lifted a bit. I've heard Doc sing it so maybe. Though the melody is quite different it could have been inspired from it.

I think one of the reasons Townes isn’t more known is because he wouldn’t play the record industry games….he knew he could make at least a living playing shows in Texas,Oklahoma,Arkansas,Louisiana & Arizona so why put up with their bullshit?

think Townes would have done better if he'd been born 100 years earlier - seems like he wasn't appreciated enough
