I love how this boss combines both salesmen and religious doorknockers in one. This looks like such a fun and creative game!

Just an fyi, Foul Neighbors actually comes with 8 new bosses. The prototype they sent out just has 4 of them

I saw that on the KS page. Very cool!

Thanks for the video, really like the showing of all the card, thought it was really well done. One thing I'd like to point out is that the rules for consumables is changed in odd jobs. Consumables are now only discarded when/if it says so on the card.

Yes, good thing to point out, thanks! Should make them more useful (I rarely bought them in the original).

Thanks Mike. Townsfolk Tussle is so much fun to watch. Sadly I don't think I can justify spending the cash needed for the game plus the new expansions, which look great. So I really appreciate the playthroughs.

I’m trying to figure out if I should go for this or vangrantsong (appreciate they’re different games mostly) as they scratch the same art style itch for me

Check out multiple reviews for both. I've only played TT and the drawbacks are a very strong character, like Granny. And Random Gear and Random Attack rolls with little mitigation.

It depends a lot on what you’re looking for. I’ve reviewed both on the channel. Townsfolk Tussle has no story/campaign to speak of, but I like it’s core combat system more than vagrantsong

@@OneStopCoopShop thanks - I just watched the reviews but still on the fence for $200. Backed for $1 to buy more time and make a decision. Thanks so much for the content and help!

How do you get a copy of townsfolk tussel board game? Trying to get a copy for the Flat Rock Public Library. Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe the new printing of the core game (along with new expansions) is delivering to backers soonish, so it might be possible to either late pledge that, or see if they printed extra stock to buy the game online after backer deliveries.

Trying to decide if I want back it, I keep hearing that the game is simple but even the community on BGG says 14 and up. I want something I can play with my (by then 10 and 13 year old) some games we play Arcadia quest, Small world, Sorcerer’s arena, Zombicide )
@OneStopCoopShop Жыл бұрын
I’ve played with my 10 year-old. There is graphic violence in some of the art, but it’s still that cuphead cartoony style, and I just don’t use the nastiest cards when I play with him. In terms of the gameplay, it’s definitely simple enough for him to handle, which I guess can be seen as a pro or con 😅
@CountDewkeww Жыл бұрын
@@OneStopCoopShop thanks, that answers my question. I seriously doubt the art would be too much. As far as gameplay goes not going to complain if it’s fun and on the lighter side.

Just to point out that the last turn shouldn't have been the last. You pointed out you missed the FOMO effect after the last Ruffian card but you also forgot to move the Door Knocker towards Granny as thats what their card stated you should do before she gets converted. This in turn would've put them out of reach for Fridgette as she couldn't get to them with 4 movement to deal that 1 extra DMG. This in turn would've lead to Granny having a converted turn, most likely hiting Fridgette but I don't think that would've changed a lot unless Fridgette then misses her attack on the Ruffian giving them another turn which in theory could've converted the other townsfolk. Either way it would've likely ended with a victory I'm just pointing it our for the sake of youtube coment section backseat gaming. xD Ohh and thank you for the gameplay...I was really looking for a good gameplay video as I still can't decide should I back the game or go with Vagrant Song. I need a game with that art style...I think I also need a boss battler so... The video didn't hlep but helped me finally keep interest on one of those playthrough videos to see how the game goes about. 'm just not sure my group can go through 3 or 4 fights in one night...we usually spice thing sup by playing a few shorter games...We barely finished Nemesis while 3/5ths of us were massively enjoying the game and the other 2 were just on the fence because the amount of rules was overwhelming them. So I'm saying long games tend to tire half of our group. xD

You're right! Got excited and forgot to actually move them! I definitely like this one better than Vagrantsong, which fell pretty flat for my group. But neither game is a top tier boss battler for me personally. A note that it's pretty easy to play 1 or 2 fights, pack up, and finish the rest of the fights next time you meet, if you are worried about your group's attention span :)
@Galloglaoch Жыл бұрын
@@OneStopCoopShop Hmm, well there you go swinging me towards Townsfolk Tussle... xD I'm not a big fan of pack it up and finish next time because we most likely just won't... we'll play something else until we forget where we were and by the time we wanna play again we'll just start over and the cycle shall go on. :D Either way it's good to know that the game is easy for such a thing. God knows I had to mentally prepare to pack Nemesis back in the box (after we finished) so we were finishing that game that night no matter what! But since you got me curious what are some (if not all) top tier boss battlers for you?

This is pretty cool knock off of Cup Head! It's understandable they couldn't call it Cup Head or anything related due to license / trademark.
@LifezAGame Жыл бұрын
Why would you say knock off? This was in development before Cup Head I'm pretty sure.
@brianw3880 Жыл бұрын
This is a parallel idea to cuphead. I wouldn't really call it a knockoff at all.
@karaso0 Жыл бұрын
Are you implying Cuphead has a monopoly on the rubber hose art style of the 1930's? Or that its the originator? And in what way is it a knock off? Is it a side scrolling video game? I'm genuinely perplexed by this comment🤔

I bet knock off was just the fastest phrase that came to mind. Probably no ill will.
