The insurance companies are pricing it so high it's hard for folks to afford. I haven't had a wreck or a claim in 4 years but my insurance has gone up a lot over the last couple of years. It was $112 a month two years ago and it's up to $162 and change now. For a 69 year old driver with a 16 year old car.

It always cracks me up when people drive around in Mercedes so people will think they're rich and then they can't afford insurance on it! Like a friend of mine said who owned a car repair shop, just because you can afford to buy a BMW doesn't mean you can afford a BMW.

Insurance required in Calif for tags but that doesn't mean they keep the insurance current. You have made me aware of false and outdated tags since watching you. Walking through Walmart parking lot I was SHOCKED how many was false or out of date. This also means they have no insurance. Scary out there!

Try living in New Hampshire where insurance isn't a requirement...that's fun, seriously tho the nh government needs to make that a requirement. More accidents happened here in 6-7 months of 2024 alone then in the whole yr of 2023. The only time that insurance is mandatory is if you're a high risk, my mother went to buy a car the dealership wouldn't let her even test drive in the parking lot without. They also told her that because she's a high risk they wouldn't allow her to leave the lot with it. One would think it's mandatory to have insurance when you buy a car from a dealership up here but it's not, although it's strongly advised that you do. And no I haven't the foggiest idea as to why her license hasn't been pulled, it should be tho the way she drives. And don't even get me started on the under insured driver's they're almost as bad as the ones without it, to make matters all the more worse you'll have to file a claim on your insurance and have to deal with your premiums jumping because some knob head didn't want to pay to have decent coverage.

6:15 My understanding (as an Australian) is that this “Amazon Van” is not actually owned by Amazon, but by a subcontractor who delivers on behalf of the company. Amazon itself does not, as I understand it, own any delivery vehicles. It being far simpler and cheaper to subcontract the work out to owner operators.

There must not be much of a penalty for no insurance in Georgia. In my state they charge a $2,000 fine plus impound fees of $1,000 and they take your drivers liscence for 90 days. Plus your insurance rates triple. It's cheaper to just buy the insurance.
