Have you heard William Maranci's iteration of Deftones' "Change" with the vocals of "Toxic", by any chance? Personally feel like that was when I realised the song had a grittiness that allowed for surprisingly... natural combinations across genres. Closest thing I can really compare it to are female-led metal bands like Dead Sara and Evanescence.

metal makes for such a good cover genre. shreds for high energy songs or chugs for slower energy songs, and obviously the screaming can be manipulated to suit the situation. for years ive screamed in my own head, doing different renditions of popular songs, it's what gets me by when im forced to listen to top 40 on workplace radios haha

I love this, amazing cover and also awesome visuals! I love the green and purple color combo here - both colors are known for symbolizing poison especially when paired, and adding the jellyfish (venomous) and the smoke/fog (which could symbolize the smoke from a potion or could be bc smoking is bad for u) are genius touches. Also loving the way Lollia is styled here - looking like an anime villain in the best way!
