I was in love with a version of him I made up in my head, a version that actually respected me as a person and wasn't manipulative, and selfish. the illusion was shattered. I got over him pretty quickly because of that.

I have, however, dated one person who was willing to share their past, so to speak, so I can try to throw in my two cents. What the other two are saying is right, as long as she's *currently* faithful to you and hasn't shown any red flags, you should be in the green. I can get why it's really irksome, but if she isn't giving off any bad vibes, there shouldn't be anything to really worry about. If it's really bothering you now, or you can't trust her, it probably won't get better as time goes on. You might need to just cut your losses now and tell her why; It'll suck absolute ass, but it's common decency to be that transparent about shit, like how you'd want her to be.

If she's your first, the chances that you *think* you love her increase thousandfold. Happened to me, happened to millions if not billions of others in the past. The first lover, especially if she is hot, gets engraved into your mind as if with a fucking branding iron, man. Especially if you've had a hard time with girls when younger and are like 21ish. I did not have sex until I was 21 and had it with a 27 year old. Older, smoking hot and probably one of the cutest girls I've met. She was my first but was at least 50% like the girl in the video. She lead me on, then told me it won't work. But then when she saw that I fell in love she proceeded to use the fuck out of that, while also being depressed about her ex. I knew what was, going on, yet I simped the everloving fuck out of my health and bank account for her. Of course, it was my fault. But it just goes to show that some people will see how they're making you feel like absolute trash but still continue to emotionally milk you. Fuck that, dude, If she's not giving equal amounts of whatever you're giving her, LEAVE! Equal participation and care in a relationship is the NORM and anything else is COMPLETE BULLSHIT. No matter how she, your simp brain or any other factors may spin it up and make it out to look, it's false and NOT LOVE. Took me a couple of these to figure it out. But once you do, once you find someone that ACTUALLY feels the same way and is willing to give the same, you will see the difference.
