Chlorine gases are extremely heavy compared to air, and it will concentrate mostly on the surface level. Air ventilation or A/C flow is COMPLETELY SAFE from gas leaks from a height of at least 15 meters. another fun fact: If no high ground is available, block all windows and doors with wet cloth and wear a wet facemask. Dichlorine reacts to water producing low concentration HCl and HClO acids. DO NOT TOUCH THE EXPOSED CLOTH UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, HCl IS A VERY POTENT ACID ON HIGH CONCENTRATIONS!!! The chlorine gases turn into acids, stopping their spread and makes them a liquid.

Hey Mocking bird I think I have an Idea for an EAS scenario and, it’s based on a real event. I call it “Dry fire”. Recently in the Las Vegas area during the start of the heat wave there had been a wild fire in a area called cottonwood, which is south of the Lake Mead National Recreational Area, the wild fire was caused by a combination of Single digit afternoon relative humidity, poor overnight RH recovery and gusty southwest winds. The smoke was so bad it engulfed the whole Vegas area and even spread out to south east California and north west Arizona areas, triggering a Tri-state red flag alert.
