If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

There is no toxic masculinity, only toxic behavior. What is toxic is the gendering of toxic behavior as masculine.

Eddie Marsan just changed my life. Dealing with the struggle of being defined and self-determination. Every word he said reflected my life, living with prejudice from my own family and white people when dealing with self-identity inside Britain and within countries inside Europe where I have lived. 100% interview. Thanks a lot. I needed this.

Toxic masculinity is a fear of competent, confident and powerful men because it reminds other people of their flaws, weaknesses and inadequacies. We also experience a phobia of confident men because, inherent in the male psyche, there is the capacity for violence (generally at a greater level than the feminine can manifest). We often misconstrue their lack of anxiety and their willingness to be assertive, as an indicator of them requiring less compulsion to enact violence. The irony is, obviously, that the exact opposite is true. It is those males who are unwilling to assert themselves and feel unable to express their inherent masculinity, that are the most likely to enact violence. It is those same males who fall down the rabbit holes of extreme ideology, on the right and left.

@EnKrypt utter nonsense. The way you have written your argument really comes across with an unwavering certainty that you are right to the point of being inexorable. Not all powerful men or women in this world are the cave men you aspire to, majority are not like that at all. However there is a number of the population who put the cave men/monkey way of life on a pedestal out of an almost primitive instinct, these same people lean in to in all of their decision making and hope for simpler times, they themselves tend not to even be the cave men they are sycophants of and live in a complete fantasyland telling everyone else to be like them.

Rubbish. Toxic masculinity is the fantasy of a bygone age where men had all the power and women were subdued. Literally - the Andrew Tate’s of the world would prefer to live with the Taliban. No wonder Tate pretends of be a Muslim.

These quaint little buzz words and phrases like toxic masculinity are amusing. Individuals display what could be described as toxic behaviour, men and women, boys and girls of all ethnicities and social classes. Some people seek to distort the reality of this aspect of humanity, maybe they just struggle to understand it.

One can make anything toxic. Working out if good for you but it can clearly be overdone and taking over your entire life. Masculinity is not negative as such but there are bad sides/risks with it like voilince (and excessive risk taking). Fear is what drives many bad things. Fear of being not masculine enough seem to me be what drives many to do toxic masulinity things?

Its really sad to hear the AI, digital apps and robotics will strip men of their ladder and productivity and eventuality providee status as we mourn that infertility in men snd women have declined dramatically. It's also sad to see more non Grandparents where they die in old age without grandkids. There is a huge cost coming from last 20 years as the World becomes the worst parts of Japan. Single people living in high rise units alone, bored and die younger. If all that makes you angry, you should be, we have deprived generations behind us of what it means to be human beings. Like during covid lockdowns, we are removing families from socialising and opportunity to procreate and have stable housing and a purpose. We need to activate parents and their generations to tell the Politicians we are upset. They won't listen to you people because they aren't 60% of the population: the old are.
